About the tour.

Ten days that tie two countries together. The Cuban half opens in Havana, with the streets of the old town, the American cars of the 1950s, Revolution Square and the Capitolio. From the city the route climbs into the Viñales Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of tobacco farms, the Los Jazmines viewpoint and the Cueva del Indio.

The road across the island runs through Cienfuegos to Trinidad, the best preserved colonial town in Cuba and another UNESCO site. The way back calls at Santa Clara for the Che Guevara Mausoleum and the Armoured Train Memorial.

Mexico begins in the capital, with the Zocalo, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Aztec and Maya collections of the National Anthropology Museum. The trip closes around Cancun: the Kukulkan pyramid at Chichen Itza, a cenote held sacred by the Maya, and the colonial town of Valladolid. Flights, hotels, excursions and the meals listed are included.
