Kukulkan Pyramid and Maya ruins exploration at Chichen Itza
Valladolid · Mexico
About this experience
At Chichen Itza, the Pyramid of Kukulkan, with its even stairways, is the best-known Maya structure rising from the forest. Around it lie a ball court, temples and columned halls, while guides explain details linked to astronomy and ritual. The layout of the ancient city begins to read as you walk.
You walk a long way across a wide site with little shade, so a hat, water and sunscreen are essential. Shoes should cope with a long walk. Stay with the group so you hear the guide. Climbing the structures is generally not allowed.
