A boat tour departing from Listvyanka on Baikal, the world's oldest and deepest freshwater lake, shows off its clear waters and surrounding taiga forest.

After a city tour in Krasnoyarsk along the Yenisei River, an overnight ride in a four-berth cabin on the Trans-Siberian Express carries the trip back to Novosibirsk. A day at Akademgorodok, a forested settlement built for Soviet-era scientists, and a quiet stretch along the Ob River complete the route.

01Istanbul to Novosibirsk

We meet at the International Departures Terminal of Istanbul Airport for check-in and passport formalities. The non-stop S7 Airlines flight departs for Novosibirsk, the capital of Siberia. After landing at Tolmachevo Airport in the evening, passport and baggage formalities follow. A local guide meets us for the transfer to the hotel in the city center by private vehicle. 02Novosibirsk City Exploration

After breakfast at the hotel we begin a city tour to explore Novosibirsk, recognized as the cultural and scientific center of Siberia. Walking along Krasny Prospekt, one of the longest streets in the world, offers a close look at the city's architecture and history. We then see the Novosibirsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre from the outside, one of Russia's most prestigious art buildings. After a walk and photo break along the Ob River, a panoramic tour takes in the areas that reflect the city's modern, academic and scientific character, with the guide explaining Novosibirsk's development from the Soviet era to today. Free time for lunch follows the tour, with the rest of the day free in the city center for shopping, cafes or rest at the hotel. Meals: Breakfast included. 03Novosibirsk to Irkutsk, into the Baikal Region

After an early breakfast we check out and transfer to Novosibirsk's Tolmachevo Airport. The direct S7 Airlines domestic flight takes us to Irkutsk, known as the gateway to Lake Baikal. After landing at Irkutsk Airport in the afternoon, passport and baggage formalities follow. A local guide meets us for the transfer into the city, sharing the history of Irkutsk and its connection to Lake Baikal along the way. After checking into the hotel there is free time for lunch, and the rest of the day is free to rest, walk along the Angara River, or explore the city center. 04Lake Baikal and a Boat Tour from Listvyanka

After breakfast we leave Irkutsk to explore Lake Baikal, the world's oldest and deepest freshwater lake. A roughly one-hour drive brings us to Listvyanka, one of the best-known settlements on the lake, with the guide sharing detail on Baikal's geology, biodiversity and cultural significance along the way. On arrival we join a boat tour on Lake Baikal, taking in its clear waters and the taiga forest along its shores. With the guide's commentary we get a close look at Baikal's varied coastline and natural features, one of the most memorable parts of the trip. Lunch follows at a local restaurant overlooking the lake, with regional specialties and the guide's account of Baikal's effect on local life. Afterward there is time for a walk along the shore, photos and free time, with the option to browse local markets or simply relax by the water before we return to Irkutsk later in the day. 05Half-Day Irkutsk City Tour and Flight to Krasnoyarsk

After breakfast the morning starts at an easy pace. Once checked out, a half-day city and culture tour explores Irkutsk, known as the Paris of Siberia for its wooden architecture, taking in its historic streets, the Angara River and the city's highlights with the guide. Lunch follows at a local restaurant featuring regional specialties, with a short free time afterward for a walk or rest in the city center. In the evening we transfer to Irkutsk Airport for the direct S7 Airlines flight to Krasnoyarsk, one of Siberia's key centers. On arrival we are met and transferred to the hotel by private vehicle. 06Krasnoyarsk City Exploration and the Trans-Siberian Night Train

After breakfast we check out and begin a full city tour of Krasnoyarsk, one of Siberia's most striking cities. Views of the Yenisei River, the historic city center and other landmarks reflecting the city's natural and cultural character make up the tour, with the guide describing Krasnoyarsk's character, a blend of Siberia's rugged nature with Soviet and modern architecture. Photo stops at panoramic viewpoints are part of the tour, along with an account of Krasnoyarsk's strategic role on the Trans-Siberian line. Lunch follows at a local restaurant in the afternoon, with a short free time after the meal. In the evening we transfer to the train station and board the Trans-Siberian Express, running the Vladivostok-Moscow line. After settling into the four-berth cabin, an unforgettable night on the rails begins across the vast Siberian landscape. 07Back to Novosibirsk, Akademgorodok and the Ob River

In the morning the Trans-Siberian Express arrives at Novosibirsk train station. After being met we transfer to the hotel by private vehicle, with early check-in or a short rest in the lobby depending on availability. The day is deliberately kept at an easy pace after the long train journey. Around 13:00 we leave the hotel for Akademgorodok, one of Novosibirsk's most distinctive areas. Set within Siberian forest, it was built for scientists during the Soviet era and is known today for its quiet, nature-close way of life. On arrival there is a short forest walk, guided exploration and free time. We then continue to the banks of the Ob River for a riverside walk, photo breaks and free time at local cafes, taking in the quiet rhythm of a Siberian summer. This stretch is more about observing daily life than a conventional city tour. We return to central Novosibirsk in the late afternoon, with the rest of the day free. 08Return to Istanbul from Novosibirsk

We land at Istanbul Airport in the afternoon. After passport and baggage formalities, the Trans-Siberian and Baikal experience comes to an end.
