Figueres is a city northeast of Girona known as the birthplace of Salvador Dali. The city is closely associated with the life and works of the famous Spanish painter Salvador Dali. The most important tourist attraction in Figueres is the Salvador Dali Museum. Dali established a museum here to leave something in his birthplace and exhibit his works. Today, this museum houses the largest Dali collection and is known as Dali's greatest work because Dali designed every part of it.
