We meet at the International Departures Terminal of Istanbul Airport at 22:30 to begin the journey. Turkish Airlines' direct flight departs for Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, at 02:45. After roughly 11 hours in the air we land in Jakarta at 18:00 local time. After breakfast we head for the Bogor region, set in the countryside. Waiting jeeps take us on a short safari through rice fields and village roads.
