Mercure Hida Takayama

The hotel is conveniently located right next to Takayama Station and within walking distance of the must-visit Ajikura Tengoku. Both the hotel and guest rooms are beautifully designed with a modern and elegant touch. All the essential facilities and amenities were provided, and there was plenty of space in the room—we could fully open both a large and a medium-sized suitcase without any issue. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep. The bath on the top floor was also very relaxing and a perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Before our arrival, I requested that our family rooms be arranged on the same floor or as close together as possible, and the hotel thoughtfully accommodated this request. I truly appreciated their attention to detail and hospitality. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and an excellent experience. I will definitely choose Mercure Hida Takayama again on our next trip to Takayama!

His warm hospitality and excellent assistance made a fantastic first impression and set the tone for our entire trip. Wonderful Private Onsen: The private onsen facilities are top-tier. It was incredibly relaxing, spotlessly clean, and the perfect way to unwind in privacy after a long day of exploring Takayama. The Best Pajamas Ever: I have to mention the hotel pajamas—they are amazingly comfortable! In fact, they were so good that I couldn't resist purchasing a set to take home with me. The hotel beautifully blends modern comfort with local charms. Between the stellar staff like Ahmad and the fantastic amenities, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!

Perfect Location & Modern Design The hotel is conveniently located just a 3-5 minute walk from the station, making it incredibly easy to access. Most of Takayama’s major tourist attractions are also within easy walking distance. The hotel itself features a brand-new, modern, and highly comfortable design that makes you feel relaxed the moment you walk in. Fantastic Amenities & Member Perks The absolute highlight has to be the top-floor hot springs (onsen), which feature both indoor and outdoor baths—completely free for guests and the perfect way to unwind. The breakfast buffet was incredibly rich with a great variety of options and they also offer special dish for Accor’s members. As an Accor member, I was thrilled by the daily complimentary afternoon Happy Hour. They offered a fantastic selection of local alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, which made the entire experience feel exceptionally high-value. Flawless Service The service here is top-notch. The front desk staff who checked us in was exceptionally professional and spoke fluent Japanese, English, and Mandarin, making communication completely seamless and hassle-free. If I visit Takayama again, this hotel will undoubtedly be my absolute first choice. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area!
