Hida Hanasatonoyu Takayama Ouan

The rooms are comfortable, and the staff provides excellent service. The hot springs offer beautiful views, with both private and public baths available. I loved the complimentary popsicles and the delicious, free late-night ramen. There is an on-site parking lot, but it uses a car elevator system, which makes retrieving your vehicle a bit inconvenient. Overall, it is definitely worth a visit!

The hotel has a traditional Japanese style environment. It was very nice and comfortable, and everything was good. However, there were no staff on duty to monitor the onsen area. I saw a guest enter the onsen area fully clothed, which is not supposed to be allowed. This made me uncomfortable and might create a bad feeling for other guests. I hope the hotel can improve staff supervision in the onsen area and provide clearer etiquette instructions for international guests.

Good location, station, shops and restaurants nearby, rooms could be bigger but it is ok. A traditional style of hotel, very clean. There are saunas and 4 Onsens available and there are 3 private and 1 public. They are separated into male and female. There is free tea and coffe available 24 hrs. Icecreams free on floor 13 where the onsens are located. Free pajamas, socks and toiletries etc. Staff are wonderful, polite and very hospitable.
