Rosewood Luang Prabang

Had a wonderful stay at one of Rosewood’s most secluded properties. The Rosewood brand has always held a special place in my mind with its headquarters based in Hong Kong, and Rosewood Luang Prabang is no exception. Designed by the well-known architect Bill Bensley, it is apparently the second-smallest Rosewood property. This is also the second Bensley’s property I visited after IC Danang. The property’s architecture is stunning with its unique riverside villas overlook the waterfall. The staff were polite, friendly and fluent in English. We were personally greeted by the hotel’s managing director, Jonathan, at both check-in and check-out. We joined an alms-giving tour and a visit to Kuang Si Waterfall. The experience was truly immersive and culturally oriented. We were presided by Noi, an in-house monk. We were introduced to the practice and philosophy of Buddhist culture in Laos and their way of living. Noi taught us how to meditate and how to offer food to local monks as per their tradition. House staff responded quickly to our concerns. Unfortunately, some villas and spa lodges are in close proximity to a local pub that occasionally plays loud disco music with heavy bass, which was very irritating when you were trying to relax during a spa treatment. We understood that this has been an ongoing problem and the staff were frank about the issue. I recommend guests who plan to use the spa to check with management for the latest updates and to ask about the potential impact beforehand. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed Rosewood LP. Jonathan has led a close-knit, attentive team of individuals who showed great enthusiasm in their work. Keep it up 👍🏻

An absolutely unforgettable stay at Rosewood Luang Prabang, every detail was taken care of with warmth and genuine care. A heartfelt thank you to Lucky for the wonderfully warm welcome — it set the perfect tone for our entire visit. Breakfast was always a highlight, and that's thanks to Tee and Philips, who looked after us every single morning with such attentiveness and great smiles. A special mention to Noy for an amazing fishing experience — a truly memorable moment that made this trip extra special. And to the driver team, thank you for the seamless and comfortable shuttle service to the town center every time — always on time, always pleasant. We absolutely cannot wait to come back!! 🌿
