NH Palermo

We spent a very pleasant two weeks in Palermo at the NH in Foro Italico. Great sea views from our room, fabulous Italian breakfasts included in the room rate. Generous bedroom size with lovely ensuite. Outdoor garden and pool area with al fresco dining was much appreciated; many thanks to Marco and Valeria for looking after us so well for drinks and lunch around the pool. And also the care and kindness of Rocco the salvataggio was exceptional. Grazie

Decent hotel, but a few points for the hotel to address. Pool I would suggest to trim the trees, remove anything that can fall into the pool, the pool is consistently full of fallen tree buds, the side wall has blue Paint which runs off onto guests and is hard to remove. Limited space for beds. The pool attendant does his best to help. Pool temperature was very nice. Bar This is never always manned and proves difficult to get a drink. Even when the bat staff do appear they seem to carry on what they are doing before they acknowledge you. We gave up at the bar and ended up going to the supermarket. Others did the same. Rooms/Hotel A lovely well looked after hotel, clean and rooms nice. Lovely view from the balcony towards the sea. States on the website a bathrobe is included, but no bathrobe to be seen, update your website if this is the case. Breakfast Not the biggest choice, but make do with what's there. Location Not in the city, but 15minutes walk along towards to marina gets you to the main city. Tip : turn left not right outside the hotel.

We booked this hotel to be near the city centre and all activities without having to go into the hectic traffic when arriving by car. The hotel has a convenient secure manned parking for a fee. Our room was s bit compact, but quite modern and nice with a beautiful ocean view from the balcony and a modern clean bathroom. There was a nice pool area with a pool bar. The breakfasts buffé was great and could be enjoyed out in a nice terrace next to grass and palm trees. We really recommend this hotel when visiting Palermo.
