Mercure Palermo Centro

We had a lovely time staying at this hotel, when we arrived we were greeted very warmly by the staff and then surprised with an upgraded room! The whole hotel and our room was very well cleaned every day and we had no issues with any part of our stay. As 2 girls travelling in a city we didn't know, the hotel felt extremely safe and the staff were very kind towards us with anything we needed or any restaurant recommendations (Oste E Pizza is a great pizza place near to the hotel). We would like to say thank you to the lovely staff member at breakfast who provided my friend with gluten-free products, and remembered us at other breakfasts. He would check if we were finding the gluten-free options around the city okay and recommended some gluten-free restaurants he goes to with his wife in the city (we tried one and it had amazing food). Thank you very much to all the lovely staff and cleaners at the hotel, you made our experience of travelling to Palermo amazing!

Hotel stay was lovely, enjoyed the location which is convenient 2 walk arnd Palermo. Room was small & compact, bathrm was okish - view from small balcony/terrace nothing 2 see as such except building opp. Breakfast was a buffet service not much choice had 2 pay extra for any additional items i.e. omelettes, poached eggs, etc. & occasionally when eggs & bacon ran out - guest had 2 wait for such a long time b4 they were replaced!! Staff were friendly but only Guiseppe was most helpful & provided info. as to what to do & see in Palermo & Sicily. Thank you for our stay at your Mercure Hotel

The primary function of a hotel is a peaceful sleep. So why on earth do Mecure Palermo have a bright blue light on the Aircon wall mounted control stopping sleep?? Clever design to place opposite mirror to amplify blue light. Only way to stop this is turn off air con, but that's not happening in Palermo in the summer. Want zero nights sleep? This is the place for you
