Mercure Hotel Dortmund Centrum

Quite a nice hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choices for everyone. I had a standard single room and there wasn't even a mini fridge to keep my water cold. There was tea provided but without any option to get hot water (there was only a coffee machine). It would also be nice to have the option to turn the AC off, but that may have been a skill issue :)

My wife and I booked a weekend trip to Dortmund, and we chose this hotel because of its central location. I specifically booked a more expensive room to make our stay more comfortable. Unfortunately, we discovered that the air conditioning was not working, and the room became extremely hot, which made it very difficult for us to sleep. This was very disappointing, especially considering the price we paid for the room. We also discussed the issue with the hotel staff, and they informed us that the technician would only be available on Monday the same day we were due to leave. Although they provided us with a fan, the room still remained uncomfortably hot, and we were not able to properly enjoy our stay because of the heat.

Mercure Hotel Dortmund City is a great choice for a city break. The hotel is located right in the center of Dortmund, close to the main train station and public transport, making it easy to reach the city’s attractions as well as Signal Iduna Park. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Despite the central location, the hotel offers a calm and relaxing atmosphere. A perfect place for travelers who value comfort and convenience.
