Hotel Dorint Dortmund an den Westfalenhallen

I’ve given this Hotel a 4-Star ⭐️ rating overall as in general it’s very good! It’s not hit the full five stars purely because of the cooked breakfast was very lacking. It was disappointing to have such a lack of selection. The rest of the hotel however I would rate very good. The main foyer area is impressive still, I bet in its day 30+ years ago this was one of the top hotels in town! My room was on the corner so I think it had a little more space than a standard room, but even so it was nicely appointed. You can tell with the carpet they haven’t scrimped when doing the rooms out. Parking underground and you have to pay extra for it, but I just parked out the front opposite the hotel for free! It’s in a great location, too. I took a walk into the city centre one evening which ended up being about 6km in total, mostly flat. I would happily stay here again.

It is not the most fancy hotel around, but you can definitely tell that this place and its staff have a lot of experience in hospitality. The room was spacious, perfectly clean and offered all amenities I can think of. The personell was friendly and working at top speed. While the breakfast offered endless options to start the day, the restaurant offer is a bit limited and quality does not keep up with the otherwise great experience!

They steal your goods!! During my stay, somebody entered our room and stole everything valuable in our bags. The Hotel didn’t accept the responsibility. Their cameras in the hallways are for show. They are not working. People know this and enter the rooms to steal your stuff. Maybe they are cooperating with the hotel staff! Don’t trust this hotel!! Their staff is rude and not helpful at all.
