The hotel has some lovely features, particularly the beautiful gardens and pool areas, which are well maintained and create a relaxing atmosphere. However, in my opinion, this is not a true 5-star hotel. For the first three nights of our stay, I was extremely itchy and slept very little. When I inspected the bed more closely, I found that the mattress protector underneath the bedsheet was very dirty, covered in hairs and lots of tiny black specks (which made me wonder whether they could have been flea dirt). This is certainly not what I would expect from a hotel claiming to be 5-star. To be fair, housekeeping changed the bedding immediately once I reported it, but there was no apology or follow-up from the management, which was disappointing. Another downside is that you receive just one complimentary bottle of water and two coffee pods on arrival. After that, you have to pay for any additional bottled water or coffee pods, which felt rather mean for a hotel of this standard. The food was acceptable. We stayed on a half-board basis and there was a good variety of dishes available each evening, so dinner was generally enjoyable. Breakfast, however, was underwhelming. There were no fresh fruit juices, and the chef cooking the eggs seemed consistently unfriendly, which didn’t make for the best start to the day. Overall, the gardens and pools are the hotel’s biggest strengths, but the cleanliness issues, lack of customer service from management, and cost-cutting touches mean I don’t feel it lives up to its advertised 5-star rating.

My wife and I went here for a quick weekend trip. The location is about 8min walk to the public beach with plenty of great food options within 15min walk. I loved the layout of the multiple pools and bar areas. The breakfast buffet was also amazing. I would absolutely stay here again. I would have given this hotel 5 stars but the shower was not closed in so water was all over the bathroom when someone showered. Also, the wall between the bathroom and bedroom was glass so if the light was on in the bathroom it was also bright in the bedroom.

The hotel is officially rated as a 5-star property, and at first glance, it certainly gives you a luxurious feeling. The architecture, interior design, overall style, beautiful plants, and exceptionally well-maintained gardens create a very impressive setting. The layout of the pools is also excellent, as it naturally spreads the guests out and allows you to find some quiet and relaxing areas. The rooms are very spacious and the staff are consistently friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the hotel does not fully live up to its 5-star claim. The breakfast is good, but nothing particularly special, and overall there simply isn't enough offered for a hotel presenting itself as a 5-star property. The biggest issue is the apparent lack of investment in renovation and maintenance. The spa area urgently needs refurbishment, the gym is far too small and the rooms and especially the furnishings are showing their age. In my opinion, parts of the outdoor facilities would also benefit greatly from renovation. The children's entertainment is friendly and there is clearly an effort to offer activities for children. It is understandable that a hotel like this is not necessarily aiming to have the biggest or most extensive children's entertainment programme. However, if you decide to offer a kids' club, I think there should be a little more commitment and effort behind it. There would be absolutely nothing wrong with not offering a kids' club at all, but if you do offer one, it should also be a genuinely useful and worthwhile service for families. This is not a criticism of the animator, who is doing a great job, but he seems to be working alone with very limited resources, which naturally restricts what can be offered. At times, it feels more like the hotel is doing just enough to be able to say that it has a kids' club rather than providing a truly comprehensive children's programme. Overall, the hotel has a fantastic setting and genuinely friendly staff, but unfortunately the negative aspects outweigh the positives for us. If a hotel markets itself as 5-star, it needs to deliver a 5-star experience across all aspects of the holiday, not just create a luxurious impression from the outside. Until the necessary renovations and improvements are made, we unfortunately won't be returning.
