La Quinta Caribena

The hotel is in a quiet area but you can hear everything happening outside. There is a resort in front with lots of staff being dropped and picked up. And the building is close to their loading bay. So if you are a light sleeper be mindful of that. The room itself is pretty sparse. We had a hard time finding places to hang our things and there’s no lamps. You have to decide to sit in the dark or be blinded by the ceiling light. The room we were in could definitely use a little TLC but was functional and the bed was good. The grounds are nice and relaxing and are guarded by a very chill peacock. We loved the location as everything we needed was really close and walkable. There are places to eat and a supermarket within 5 min. The beach nearby is lovely and so accessible. The staff are very attentive and the best part of this place. They are very kind and nice. I would return no problem.

This was the second time my daughter and I have stayed at La Quinta Caribeña and we LOVE it (last year for 5 nights and this year for 6 mights), it's the perfect place for what we need and the staff is 100000% amazing! This is not a luxury resort, it's a quant, quiet, clean, small hotel with simple rooms and bathrooms and an adorable pool. It is not in the heart of all the action (which is what we want!), we always rent bikes for the week and we go back and forth into town and to the beach @ 88th street (which is a 3 minute walk from the hotel). We go to PDC to relax and chill on the beach and in the ocean. Fernando is wonderful and is a great communicator if you need anything at all, and Dario (on site) was an absolute angel and super helpful, they are so welcoming and they are people I now consider our friends. Both times we have stayed at the hotel they have organized a driver (the amazing Javier and his guys) to pick us up and return us to the airport (not included in our hotel price) and it has been easy and fast, they are excellent drivers. The peacocks this time were an added bonus, so beautiful! We love La Quinta Caribeña! As Fernando said, it's our Caribbean home :-)

We enjoyed our stay. Fernando is a great lovely host and the staff are kind and helpful. The location is close to Playa 88. There are 2 beautiful peacocks on the property which make it even more entertaining. 🤍🤍🤍 Only feedback: it would be great to have deep cleaning between guests and more frequent sheets and room cleaning.
