Four Points Flex by Sheraton Kanazawa

This was my first time staying here. The level of service during check-in and when receiving information about the surrounding area was on par with other Marriott-affiliated hotels. The hotel is kept very clean. The size of the bathroom in the room is perfectly adequate for business travelers. The only thing is that the angle makes it a little uncomfortable to watch TV while lying in bed. The location is excellent, and the distance from the affiliated parking lot isn’t really a concern. The nearby tourist attractions were within walking distance. I used to stay at the APA Hotel in Katamachi, but I’ll be switching to this hotel from now on. I highly recommend this hotel as a base for business trips or sightseeing in Kanazawa.

The breakfast buffet at Four Points Flex was outstanding and truly a highlight of our stay. We really loved the wide variety of Japanese-style dishes, all freshly prepared and full of flavor. Every morning felt like a treat, with so many great options to choose from. The fish was especially impressive — incredibly fresh and clearly sourced locally. Everything was beautifully presented, constantly replenished, and of excellent quality. You could really feel the care and attention in every detail. We really loved starting our day here. It was absolutely worth every yen and easily one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had. Highly recommended!

Overall, good price/value. But not perfect. We faced multiple issues during our stay: first, we couldn’t use wi-fi service due to system error (our iPhones, Laptop as well). We read in the info brochure that we can ask hotel staff to navigate this issue. But front desk managers did not solve the issue and did not provide any alternatives during our 2 nights stay, which is very strange for Marriott chain. We never faced this problem previously in many countries/hotels/common spaces, including Marriott hotels worldwide. Secondly, the smart toilet was broken and the water just spilled into the floor of the bathroom when using any “smart functions”. And finally, maybe this was our fault, but the could not set AC control to comfortable temperature. It was very hot into our room, and the windows did not open as well (they even didn’t have any view, but we have heard some hotels are like this). But bed was comfortable, room was clean, amenities provided also were good. And the location just perfect for anything you may need. Kanazawa is beautiful charming city. And I can say this hotel had really comfortable price, so overall despite the issues I am satisfied with the visit. But next time I would pick any other hotel in this area
