South Africa and Safari Tour

We meet at the International Terminal of Istanbul Airport 3 hours before departure. After completing baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we depart for Johannesburg at 01.35 on Turkish Airlines flight TK42. Following our arrival at 10.30 local time, we begin our Johannesburg city tour in the vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Johannesburg, South Africa's largest city and economic centre, is also known as Jozi. The city has a rich history and cultural heritage, played an important role during the Apartheid era, and bears the legacy of Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu. During the city tour, we will see Nelson Mandela's house and the Rosebank and Sandton districts. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. We spend the night at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Sun City. On the way, guests who wish can join the optional Lesedi Cultural Village tour with lunch, available at an extra cost. (95 USD) On this tour, we learn about the cultures of local tribes such as the Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi and Ndebele at Lesedi Village in South Africa's Gauteng region. We then watch traditional African dances at the performance centre and have lunch at a local restaurant. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Sun City. We spend the night at the hotel.

Before breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional safari tours at an extra charge. (Sunrise Safari 175 USD / Sunset Safari 175 USD) We will divide the safari programme into 2 parts to try to see all of the Big 5: lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros and African buffalo. The aim of the safari experience is to see all five of these animals. As these animals are more often seen drinking water in the morning and hunting in the evening, the tours are divided into 2 parts, at sunrise and sunset, to increase our chances of seeing them. During our tours in safari vehicles in Pilanesberg National Park, we will observe the daily lives of various wild animals in their natural habitat, shaped by volcanic activity among the mountains. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Lanseria Airport. Guests who wish can join the optional Lion Park tour along the way at an extra cost. (90 USD) At the park, we observe lions in their natural habitat and take photographs from our safari vehicle. In the final part of the tour, we see rare white lions. We then transfer to Lanseria Airport. After completing baggage and ticket procedures, we fly to Cape Town with local airlines. On arrival, we begin our Cape Town city tour in the vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Cape Town, a city in South Africa, lies at the foot of Table Mountain and is known for its natural areas and cultural heritage. During the city tour, the sights we will see include the Parliament Building, Company Gardens, Long Street, the Castle of Good Hope, the Reibeck Statue and Adderly Street. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel for free time. We spend the night at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish can join the optional Houtbay and Cape of Good Hope tour with lunch at an extra cost. (170 USD) On this tour, we will take a boat from Hout Bay to Duiker Island to see sea lions. We will then see African penguins at Boulders Beach near Simons Town and head to a local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, we will visit the Cape of Good Hope, Africa’s southwesternmost point, and Cape Point, taking the funicular up to see the world’s tallest lighthouse. After the tour, we will transfer back to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Table Mountain and Stellenbosch Tour with Lunch, available at an extra cost. (165 USD) Stellenbosch, one of South Africa’s best-known wine regions, is known for its vineyards and cultural life. Located approximately 50 kilometres southeast of Cape Town, the town has buildings dating from the 17th century and wide, tree-lined streets. Cape Town, the oldest settlement in its region, shows traces of both African and local cultures. In Stellenbosch, we will have the opportunity to taste wines made from grape varieties native to South Africa. We will then have lunch at a local farm and sample the region’s traditional flavours. After our visit to Stellenbosch, we will head to Table Mountain. One of Cape Town’s landmarks, Table Mountain stands approximately 1,086 metres high and has a flat summit. Popular with nature and adventure enthusiasts, the mountain offers panoramic views of the city. We will take the cable car up Table Mountain to observe its native plants and animals and enjoy views of the Cape Town coastline. After the tour, we will be transferred to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Langa and Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden tour at an extra cost. (105 USD) Langa, one of Cape Town's oldest and most historic settlements, is also the first official black residential area established during South Africa's Apartheid era. In Langa, we will learn about the local culture and witness residents' daily lives firsthand. We will then continue to Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, managed by the South African National Biodiversity Institute. Located on the outskirts of Cape Town and established in 1913, the garden was designed to conserve and showcase South Africa's plant life. During our walk through the garden, we will have the opportunity to learn about five of South Africa's six different biomes. After the tour, we will be transferred to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have free time. You will then be transferred to the airport at the time specified by your guide. After baggage drop-off and check-in, you will depart for Istanbul at 16.35 on Turkish Airlines flight TK45.

Our tour ends upon arrival the following day at 04.35 local time.
