South Africa and Safari Tour

We meet at the International Terminal of Istanbul Airport 3 hours before departure. After completing baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we depart for Johannesburg at 02.05 on Turkish Airlines flight TK38. Following our arrival at 10.50 local time, we board the vehicle waiting for us at the airport and begin our Johannesburg city tour. Johannesburg, South Africa's largest city and economic centre, is also known as Jozi. Known for its history and culture, the city played an important role during the Apartheid era and bears traces of Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu. During the city tour, we see Nelson Mandela’s house and the Rosebank and Sandton districts. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. We spend the night at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Sun City. On the way, guests who wish can join the optional Lesedi Cultural Village tour with lunch at an extra charge. (95 USD) On this tour, we learn about the cultures of local tribes such as the Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi and Ndebele in Lesedi Village, located in the Gauteng region of South Africa. We then watch traditional African dances at the performance centre and have lunch at a local restaurant. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel in Sun City. We spend the night at the hotel.

Before breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join optional safari tours at an extra charge. (Sunrise Safari 175 USD / Sunset Safari 175 USD) We will divide our tour into 2 parts to increase our chances of seeing all of the Big 5: lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros and African buffalo. The aim of the safari experience is to see all five of these animals. As these animals are more likely to be seen drinking water in the morning and hunting in the evening, the safari is divided into 2 parts, at sunrise and sunset, to increase our chances of spotting them. During our excursions in safari vehicles in Pilanesberg National Park, we will observe the daily lives of various wild animals in their natural habitat, shaped by volcanic activity among the mountains. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Lanseria Airport. Guests who wish can join the optional Lion Park tour along the way at an extra cost. (90 USD) At the park, we observe lions in their natural habitat and photograph them from our safari vehicle. In the final part of the tour, we see rare white lions. We then transfer to Lanseria Airport. After completing baggage and ticket formalities, we fly to Cape Town with a local airline. On arrival, we board our waiting vehicle and begin our Cape Town city tour. Known for its natural beauty and cultural heritage, Cape Town is one of South Africa’s cities at the foot of Table Mountain. During the city tour, we see the Parliament Building, Company Gardens, Long Street, the Castle of Good Hope, the Reibeck Statue and Adderly Street. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel and have free time. We spend the night at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Houtbay - Cape of Good Hope tour with lunch, available at an extra charge. (170 USD) On the tour, we will take a boat from Hout Bay to Duiker Island to see the sea lions. We will then see African penguins at Boulders Beach near Simons Town and head to a local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, we will visit the Cape of Good Hope, Africa’s southwesternmost point, and take the funicular at Cape Point to see the world’s highest lighthouse. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Table Mountain and Stellenbosch tour with lunch at an extra cost. (165 USD) Stellenbosch, one of South Africa’s best-known wine regions, is known for its vineyards and cultural life. Located approximately 50 kilometres southeast of Cape Town, the town has buildings dating from the 17th century and wide, tree-lined streets. Cape Town, the oldest settlement in its region, has a way of life that brings together African and local cultures. In Stellenbosch, we will have the opportunity to taste wines made from grape varieties native to South Africa. We will try traditional dishes from the region during lunch at a local farm. We will then head to Table Mountain, one of Cape Town’s landmarks. Known for its flat summit at approximately 1,086 metres, Table Mountain attracts nature and adventure enthusiasts and offers panoramic views of the city. We will take the cable car up Table Mountain to observe its native plants and animals and enjoy views of Cape Town’s coastline. After the tour, we will be transferred to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Langa and Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden tour at an extra cost. (105 USD) Langa, one of Cape Town's oldest historic settlements, is also South Africa's first official black residential area established during the Apartheid era. In Langa, we will explore the local culture, observe residents' daily lives firsthand and learn about the area's social history. We will then continue to Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, managed by the South African National Biodiversity Institute. Located on the outskirts of Cape Town, the garden was established in 1913 to preserve and showcase South Africa's plant life. During our walk through the garden, we will have the opportunity to learn about five of South Africa's six different biomes. After the tour, we will be transferred to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have free time. You will be transferred to the airport at the time announced by your guide. After baggage and ticket procedures are completed, you will depart for Istanbul at 17.15 on Türk Hava Yolları flight TK45.

Our tour ends upon arrival the following day at 05.35 local time.
