TRIBE Baden-Baden

great location, great facilities. the room was modern, nicely lit. the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were great too. the bathroom was nice as well. the staff super nice: one great thing and one negative. the great was that they were very kind to provide me with the room when i arrive earlier than check in time. the negative one was that they told me that uber did not work in baden baden and i foolishly listen and took a hotel car (i ended up paying 70 euros to the airport and the uber drive was only 35!)

We stayed at TRIBE Baden-Baden for one night and it worked well as a pit stop for visiting the thermal spa town of Baden-Baden. It’s part of the Accor group and has a very modern, funky style. The overall vibe feels like they’re aiming for cosy luxury, with dark blue tones and dim lighting throughout. It looks stylish, although at times it did feel a little oppressive — especially in the corridors. The room itself was small but cleverly designed, with useful luggage storage tucked under the bed that helped make the space feel less cramped. One small frustration for me: it’s yet another hotel where the plug socket, mirror and shelf all seem to be in the wrong places in relation to each other, which makes getting ready after a shower more awkward than it needs to be. A small detail.in room design that always makes such a difference to usability. Breakfast was good, with a decent spread, and their own white wine was actually the best we’d had on the trip. There is a fitness centre for guests. Some heavier weights to cater to more people and work outs would be good but we improvised. Loved the touch of the shoe shine machine (located just near the car park entrance). There’s limited parking on site and it’s best to book this in advance. It costs €25 per night. When you arrive, pull up outside the hotel while you check in to get your parking pass, although this can feel a bit chaotic as check-in takes a while and there are only two spaces outside. There are public car parks next door too, although we didn’t use them. A nice bonus was the generous 12pm check-out. We’d stay again, but probably only for shorter trips.
