Sheraton Anchorage Hotel & Spa

This Sheraton Anchorage is an excellent property to consider for staying in downtown. Our king room was spacious and the view was spectacular from the 15th floor. Ella at the front desk was lovely and made our check in process easy. The breakfast brunch at the Jade restaurant was exceptional and offered personalized omelettes by Cecil. Diane and her entire team offered great service during our stay. I would highly recommend the Anchorage Sheraton.

Update: Icing on the cake—I’ve just learned that my updated rental car info was never processed as promised by the front desk staff, and I am now having to dispute a parking fine. If you must stay here, I strongly recommend parking elsewhere. ​Original Review: I've always liked this Sheraton, though it's been several years since my last visit. My recent stay fell short of expectations. While the lobby remains welcoming, the staff were pleasant, and I appreciated receiving a room upgrade, two major issues overshadowed the experience: * Room Condition: The junior suite was in clear need of some TLC. There was a noticeable bad odor, and the pipes were really noisy throughout the stay. I at one point called the operator because I thought the hotel had construction going on - it was the pipes (though the bed itself was comfortable). * Management of High-Profile Guests: The Blue Angels team and crew were staying at the property. While amusing at first, the overall management was extremely poorly handled. Despite dressing casually, keeping to myself, and intentionally leaving them alone and even waiting for a separate elevator so as not to bother them, I was glared at in the lobby and followed all the way to my room by someone associated with their group. Feeling profiled and shadowed just for trying to access my own room as a paying guest is unacceptable. Hotel staff did nothing to intervene or ensure I felt safe and welcome. It was clear that their only priority was the Blue Angels. If hosting high-profile groups requires making standard paying guests feel monitored, harassed, or unwelcome, organizers should commit to a full hotel buyout. Otherwise, all guests deserve to move freely without harassment. I suggest management address both room maintenance and proper guest security handling moving forward. With a much nicer hotel down the road, I will think twice about returning in the future. They've never cared that I walk in solo wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I've always been made to feel welcome.
