Clarion Suites Downtown

Stayed here four nights awaiting a part for my motorcycle to return home. The price was way below the other traditional hotel chains. Rooms, staff, breakfast, tv channel selection were all much better than any other place we stayed at on the way here. My only complaint is with the speed of their internet connection, but that is common to all the motels I've been in over the last several years. Highly recommend this location.

My boyfriend and I stayed here twice - once on a Sunday and later on Thursday (late June, early July). Prices in Alaska, especially Anchorage are very inflated. We chose here because we're Choice hotel members - using points fully for the first stay, and redeeming some/paying some for the second stay. I saw many complaints in the reviews. Perhaps because expectations are high with the price? These are spacious suites with showers hotter and stronger than you need. Everything was clean and in working order. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Both times Declan was working the front desk. He was very accommodating, friendly, and fast (even when he was very busy and on his own behind the counter). Our expectations are more than met.

This hotel is great for adults. It is not family friendly. We were told that they had pack and plays for infants at a first come first serve basis. They had two, one was already being used by a guest and the other was broken. We had to go buy one. If the hotel had been honest, we would have brought one. They also made mistakes on spelling the last name on one of the rooms, which caused a bit of stress when they couldn't find reservation. We had three rooms and two had the same last name. That was one of the misspelled ones. Our travel agent called and straightened that out. The management of this hotel needs overhauling. Would not recommend
