Ramada by Wyndham Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain

The hotel’s location is excellent and was one of the highlights of our stay. The staff were also exceptionally friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our visit. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and provided a pleasant place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast, however, may not meet the expectations of guests looking for a typical Western breakfast. Despite being described as offering Western options, the selection was overwhelmingly geared toward Asian tastes. The only bread available was of very poor quality, and there were virtually no dairy products apart from milk, which unfortunately tasted like powdered milk. A major advantage of the hotel is the free laundry facility, which is a very convenient service for travelers. However, the entire floor where the laundry is located has a strong cigarette smell due to nearby card rooms. The gym is also on the same floor and suffers from the same issue, with noticeable smoke odor and even an ashtray inside. Overall, the hotel offers a great location, comfortable rooms, and excellent service, but the breakfast and smoking-related issues in the laundry/gym area could be improved.

The hotel was included in our tour and we really appreciated the clean and comfortable rooms at the end of a long day. The rooms seemed to be recently renovated and the breakfast had great options. The only downside is that the hotel needs to be better equipped for large tour groups, as the breakfast room gets packed in the mornings and elevators take ages to ride as they are full by the lower floors! Great value for money though. The toilets also offer the window through to the bedroom, but luckily there are blinds as I was staying with my mum. 🤣
