Mercure Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain

I had a wonderful stay at Mercure Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain and would highly recommend this hotel. The overall experience was comfortable, well-organised, and very welcoming. I would especially like to commend Xiao Luo, the Front Office Manager, whose service truly stood out. Xiao Luo was professional, attentive, and extremely helpful throughout my stay, always ensuring everything ran smoothly and that guests felt well taken care of. Her warm attitude and efficiency made a big difference and reflected the high service standards of the hotel. Thank you to Xiao Luo and the entire Mercure Zhangjiajie team for such excellent hospitality. I would happily stay here again.

Avatar Mountains, Average Hotel If Zhangjiajie's otherworldly landscape is the reason you're making the journey, then Mercure Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain is a perfectly serviceable base camp. It's a brand new, clean, well-located four-star hotel that does the fundamentals right: comfortable beds, decent food, friendly staff, and a location that puts Tianmen Mountain practically at your doorstep. For the price, it's hard to argue with the practicalities. But arrive expecting anything beyond a reliable, no-frills international chain experience, and you'll likely feel the gap between expectation and reality. The Mercure brand delivers what it always delivers - consistent, mid-range comfort with a local veneer - and in Zhangjiajie, that's often enough, but not always impressive. LOCATION:This is genuinely where the hotel earns its keep. Sitting in the Yongding District along Ziwu West Road, the Tianmen Mountain cable car is a short walk away, arguably the most important geographic advantage a hotel in Zhangjiajie can have. The airport is a 12-minute drive, and the railway station around 10 minutes. DINE + DRINK: The breakfast buffet at the Meiyan Restaurant is a genuine highlight with a well-curated spread that blends Chinese staples with continental options, and portions are generous enough to fuel a full day of hiking. ROOM: We stayed in good suite room, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: OK view of the street outside; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Very good spa quality toiletries FACILITIES: Compact Gym with nothing more than a few cardio machines! SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. Special Shout-out to LEOYUWAN for helping with all our travel plans and logistics with great warmth and support HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TV, but practically USELESS as almost ALL THE CHANNELS were ONLY IN MANDARIN!!!
