LOTTE New York Palace

I do not know how this hotel is this well rated. The service, especially at the checkin counter is horrible. At Checkin and Checkout, the agent addressed us in the most rude way before even saying hello. They immediately said "wait, wait, wait" - not "Hello, I will be right with you!". immediately the impression is you are not a valued customer - they have more important things to do. I am nor sure you can tell from the photo but the beds were very soft, warn out, and the mattresses were add depressed. The most uncomfortable bed I have experienced at a "high end" hotel. The cleaning staff were very pleasant, but the room service and staff for the meeting rooms service of food, were extremely abrupt and not at all pleasant when they addressed us. I had Breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel and again for the price point of the meal, I would expect first class service. Food was put in front of you, orders were taken with no pleasantries or consideration of asking the customer if they were happy/ satisfied. The coffee was bitter - as it if stayed on a plate/ warmer too long. Food quality was good though but better be for thr price you pay. You may stay hear for location but there are many better hotels I have stayed at in the mId-town area! Avoid this hotel.

**Extremely Disappointing — Not Worth the Price** I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Lotte New York Palace. For a hotel charging these kinds of rates, I expected a much higher level of quality, comfort, and basic amenities. The rooms are very outdated, with old carpeting that had an unpleasant smell. The overall condition of the room felt more like an older, tired hotel than a luxury property. I specifically requested two queen beds, but the beds we received were full-size and noticeably smaller than expected. What was most disappointing was the lack of basic in room amenities. There was no coffee or tea and no coffee maker in the room. In a hotel at this price point, I consider having the ability to make a cup of coffee in the morning to be a very basic expectation. But what was truly unbelievable was being told that it would cost approximately $36–$38 simply to have a coffee maker brought to the room so we could make our own coffee. Charging nearly $40 for something that should be standard in a hotel of this caliber is simply unreasonable. There were also no toiletries and conveniences compared with what I would expect from a luxury hotel The bottom line is that the hotel is charging luxury prices and providing probably a motel 6 experience. The rooms are dated, the carpeting smells, the beds were smaller than expected, and basic amenities are either missing or come with surprisingly high additional charges. The location may be excellent, but that alone does not justify the price. For what this hotel charges, there are many better choices in New York. I would not stay here again.

We chose to stay at Lotte New York Palace for my 21st birthday back in November ‘24 for 3 nights & our stay was nothing short of exceptional! From the gorgeous room upon arrival, huge plush bedding & a view of the city it was perfect for our first time in New York. Service was immaculate & the front of house team were so friendly & such a laugh every morning, they gave us recommendations & helped grab taxis throughout our stay. We explored the hotel & every corner was oozing with charm in all the details. I would 100% recommend the Palace for its renowned location steps away from New York’s most iconic items & its impeccable service! 🎀
