ibis Gyor Hotel

Nice hotel, close to the city center. Next to the reception, there are two rooms available for hosts. There is a dining room and a kitchen. You can use them for chilling with friends; there is also a big fridge with a freezer available. The rooms are a common size, clean, and the furniture isn't super modern but is still fine. The air conditioning is running nicely, even without the card in the slot (meaning when you are away, you will return to a nicely cool room). The parking lot is subaverage. We paid for it, but it was full one evening anyway, and the advice from the receptionist was to park somewhere else in the city. Regardless, we already paid for 4 nights. The parking is also quite hard; you have to climb your car up to the angled metal surface (see my picture). The parking spaces are so narrow, and behind it, it also isn't spacious. It's so narrow that some guests would rather park across two spaces, trying to prevent issues when they need to leave the parking lot with their car. The good thing is that there is one charging plug in the latest parking place on the right. There are also 3 other plugs on the left, but these are likely for e-bikes, and it wasn't usually possible to park close to them. Charging is slow (2kwh) but free :) During breakfast, there is enough food to choose from, and I really liked the taste of scrambled eggs - feels like from real eggs. Also, there is a pancake machine, so you can use it for fresh pancakes. My advice is to keep pushing the "Start" button on it, and it will produce plenty of pancakes (the reason is that pancakes are super small - like 3cm). Check-out is at 12:00, which is nicely late in comparison to other hotels.

2026/Jun Chained-brand hotel, close to Gyor train station and the city center by walking about 10min, offers parking, friendly and efficient service, affordable price. The rooms are simple-deco, clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast is good – a variety of breads, cheeses, ham, cereals, juices and with coffee/ waffle machine.
