Gyirmot Sport & Wellness Hotel

One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in a long time. What makes it special is the combination of genuinely friendly and helpful staff, spacious and modern rooms, good food, a relaxing atmosphere with pleasant walking paths, being truly dog-friendly and EV-friendly, all at a very reasonable price. A special thank you for making our dog feel so welcome. It’s clear that pets are not just tolerated here—they are genuinely welcomed. Another highlight was breakfast. I asked if it would be possible to make a small change, and the staff immediately did everything they could to accommodate my request. That level of customer care says a lot. I’m sure they’ll do the same for you. The restaurant is also well worth a visit, with tasty food and very pleasant service. If you’re travelling near Győr, don’t hesitate to stay here. It’s just a few minutes from the motorway and absolutely worth the stop.

Great sports centre/hotel, just outside of the city centre of Györ (15-20 minutes drive, 8-9 km away. A big Tesco store was literally 4 minutes away from the hotel. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel was rather empty at the end of March and beginning of April 2026, but it seemed frequented by footballers, as there were 2 big stadiums across the road. We used the thermal pool, with water temperature around 36°C - 38°C, regular pool, (inside a huge "tent" like building), both located adjacent to the hotel building. Sauna, jacuzzi and showers were in the main hotel building, next door to the pool area. Rooms were spacious and equipped with a TV, a desk, small fridge, nice wardrobes and a couple of chairs with a small table. The beds were also good and everything was clean. The price per night included the use of all amenities mentioned above, except the massages, that you had to pay extra. The onsite restaurant served great breakfast, with both English breakfast (except the hash brown and Heinz white beans), as well as croissants, scrambled and boiled eggs, salamis, paté, jams and several different types of bread. The coffee machine offered great coffee varities. Lunch/Dinners were also very tasty and plentiful. We always had the goulash soup as a starter, and honestly, that would have been enough, if we weren't so curious to try their main courses such as schnitzel, pike/perch, steaks, fish and chips, burgers, etc. The outdoor spaces were also great. A lake (artificial?) was located at the back of the hotel, with a path around it, with lots of birch and willow trees, as well as green spaces. The parking lot was big and all the outdoor spaces were well maintained. I will definitely come back here to relax and enjoy.
