Grand Mercure Sapporo Odori Park

Excellent experience at Grand Mercure Sapporo Odori Park. Staying in the Classic suite we had plenty of room and it was just what we needed after the tight spaces of Tokyo! The room was classic, it did rock the 90's vibe, but it was clean and it felt fresh, not aged, and the view out onto Sapporo and the mountains beyond was breathtaking. It felt a little strange to be in a premium suite and not have access to a Nespresso or the like and nthing in the mini fridge. The staff from front desk to cleaning were helpful, professional and always greeted us with aa smile. We enjoyed the evening drinks in the lounge, it was a nice little wind down at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. Easy arrival from New Chitose airport using the airport bus, literally dropped us off at the back door of the hotel, although if you want to get the bus back, there are only limited service in the morning. Easy access to the train network, a short walk away from Nishi juitchome station.

The hotel offers amazing value for what it provides. Clean, with friendly staff, but somewhat dated. No gym or laundry on site. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering Western and Eastern menu. There is also happy in the evening, offering free drinks and snacks. The walk from the hotel to the touristy area with shops and restaurants is about twenty minutes; this is a good thing since the food in Sapporo is amazing.

I had a wonderful stay at Grand Mercure Sapporo Odori Park from 27 to 30Apr. The check-in experience was exceptional, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. She took the time to clearly explain all the Gold member benefits, which made me feel valued and well taken care of from the moment I arrived. Thank you for such warm hospitality and professional service. I truly appreciated the attention to detail and would happily stay again.
