Four Seasons Seattle

As a loyal guest of Four Seasons Hotel Seattle and a longtime admirer of the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts brand, I almost always choose Four Seasons whenever I travel. The reason is simple: I know I can expect exceptional service, beautiful design, and a peaceful atmosphere where I can truly relax. During my recent stay in Seattle, however, I was somewhat disappointed by the atmosphere around the pool and hot tub area. I understand that it was Mother’s Day weekend and many families were celebrating. However, when guests are paying close to $1,000 per night, many of us choose a hotel of this caliber specifically for tranquility and relaxation. Unfortunately, the pool area was consistently filled with a large number of children, which made it difficult to enjoy the quiet, luxurious experience that Four Seasons is known for. I do not have children myself, but I spoke with several other women who were also staying at the hotel for Mother’s Day weekend to enjoy a relaxing getaway away from the responsibilities of everyday life, including caring for their own children. They shared the same disappointment. The pool and hot tub are open until 10:00 PM, and I found it surprising that very young children were permitted to remain in this area until late in the evening. I respectfully believe management should consider revisiting this policy. Even implementing designated adults-only hours, particularly in the evening, would significantly enhance the experience for guests seeking the calm and restorative environment that many of us associate with the Four Seasons brand. Overall, the hotel itself is beautiful and the service remains excellent. My feedback is offered with genuine respect and with the hope of helping preserve the relaxing and refined atmosphere that has made me such a devoted Four Seasons guest over the years.

I recently stayed at Four Seasons Hotel Seattle and had a really comfortable experience. The room was spotless, the staff were friendly without being overbearing, and the location made it easy to explore the waterfront and nearby attractions. The only minor downside was that check-in took a little longer than I expected, but everyone was courteous and kept me updated. Overall, it was a relaxing stay, and I would gladly choose this hotel again when visiting Seattle.

This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. The hotel charged me twice for my stay. My reservation had already been paid before I arrived, and the credit card I provided at check-in was for incidentals only. At checkout, the hotel charged that card for the full cost of the stay anyway. When I called after leaving, the front desk couldn’t seem to understand the issue. They repeatedly pointed to the total amount of my folio instead of answering the actual question: why was a prepaid stay charged to my incidental card? Even after explaining this multiple times, I was told someone would investigate and call me back. Hours later, I’m still waiting. As if that weren’t enough, our folio also included minibar items we never consumed, including wine, seltzers, and snacks. The room itself felt tired and neglected. The furniture was scratched, the couch was visibly worn, and the bathroom sink drained so slowly that water pooled while washing your hands. The decor felt dated, with generic artwork, a bathroom phone, and a TV built into the bathroom mirror that made the room feel more outdated than classic. Our partial bay view mostly overlooked the neighboring pool, leaving us looking directly at other guests rather than enjoying the view we expected. The only consistently excellent part of the experience was the bell staff and housekeeping. They were warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. Everything else—from the condition of the room to the front desk’s handling of serious billing errors—fell far below what I expect from a Four Seasons property. Fantastic location though.
