Scandinavia and Norwegian Fjords Tour

We meet at the Turkish Airlines counter in the international departures terminal at Istanbul Airport 3 hours before the flight. After completing baggage, ticket and passport formalities, we depart for Stockholm at 07.25 on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1793. We arrive at 10.05 local time and begin our city tour in the vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Located in Northern Europe, Stockholm is the capital and largest city of Sweden. A centre of culture, art and commerce for centuries, the city attracts visitors with its colourful buildings, historic landmarks and natural beauty. Sights on the city tour include City Hall, Kungstradgarden Central Park, the National Theatre Building, the Stock Exchange Building, the Gamla Stan district, whose name means old town, the Royal Palace and Fjallgatan Hill. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we join the Treasures of Sweden (Uppsala & Djurgarden Island and Vasa Ship Museum) tour. Our first stop is Uppsala, Sweden's 4th largest city. One of the country's oldest settlements, the city is known for its history and culture. Sights on the city tour include Uppsala Cathedral, Scandinavia's oldest cathedral; Uppsala University, Scandinavia's oldest university, with a history dating back 550 years; and the Fyris River, which divides the city in two. After the Uppsala tour, we continue to Djurgarden Island. Located in central Stockholm, the island remained the private property of the royal family for a long time. Djurgarden Island is also the world's first national urban park. After the island tour, we visit the Vasa Ship Museum. The Vasa Museum houses the Vasa warship from the 17th century. Designed as a powerful warship, Vasa sank on its maiden voyage in 1628. The ship was raised from the water in 1961 and has survived to the present day. At the museum, you can examine the ship in detail and take photographs in front of its large sails and hull. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Oslo, the 4th largest city in Scandinavia and the largest in Norway. Oslo is known for its high standard of living and natural beauty. Founded in 1049 as a port city and formerly called Christiania, the city has been known as Oslo since 1925. Upon arrival, our city tour takes us past the Royal Palace, City Hall, National Theatre, Oslo Cathedral, Karl Johans Street, Opera House, Akershus Fortress and Frogner Park. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. We spend the night at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart early for the full-day Flam Fjord Tour. On arrival, we board the boat and watch waterfalls cascading down snow-covered mountains while photographing Norway's fjords from the deck. After the fjord tour, we join the Flamsbana Train Journey Tour. We take a nostalgic journey on the Flamsbana train through Norway's natural scenery. Considered one of the world's best 10 train journeys, this route is known as the world's steepest railway line. Throughout the 20 km Flamsbana journey, we see different scenery at every kilometre. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Gothenburg, Sweden's 2nd largest city. Located on Sweden's west coast near the Atlantic Ocean, Gothenburg is the country's second largest city after Stockholm and the fourth largest in Scandinavia. Situated on the Göta River, the city is known for its history and culture as well as being Scandinavia's largest port city. In Gothenburg, known for its canals, the places we will see include Avenue Boulevard, Gustav Adolf Square, the Poseidon statue, and the opera and theatre buildings. After the city tour, we transfer to our hotel. We spend the night at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Malmö. Known for its long bridge, parks and historic buildings, Malmö is located in the Skane region in the south of Sweden. It is the third-largest city in Sweden and the sixth-largest in Scandinavia. Our city tour includes Stortorget Square, City Hall, Lilla Torg Square with its cafés and restaurants, and Sankt Petri Church. After the tour, we set off for Copenhagen. Its name means trading port in Danish, and it is Denmark's capital and most populous city. The city is known for its distinctive architecture, colourful buildings and lively harbour areas. According to studies, the people of Denmark are considered the happiest in the world. Our Copenhagen city tour includes Nyhan Canal, Christianborg Castle, Glypthoteki Amelienborg Palace and Stroget shopping street. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel and stay overnight.

After breakfast at the hotel, we join the Kronborg & Frederiksborg tour of Denmark's castles. Our first stop is Kronborg Castle in Helsingor, Denmark. One of the country's best-known historic buildings, the castle was built in the 15th century and was once an important residence of the Danish royal family. Retaining features from the Middle Ages, it is particularly known as the setting of William Shakespeare's play Hamlet. This gives it both historical and literary significance. Kronborg was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. We then head to our second stop, Frederiksborg Palace. Located on a lake in Hillerod, Denmark, the palace is considered a notable example of Northern Renaissance architecture. Built in the 16th century on the orders of King Christian II, it served as a residence of the Danish royal family. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. We spend the night at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have free time until the time set by the guide. You will then be transferred to Stockholm Airport. After baggage, ticket and passport procedures are completed, you will depart for Istanbul at 19.15 on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1786. The tour ends upon arrival in Istanbul at 23.35 local time.
