Prague Tour

We will meet at the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport three hours before the flight to complete our ticket and baggage procedures. We will then fly to Prague. After arrival, we will begin our panoramic tour of Prague by private coach. During the panoramic city tour, we will see IV Charles Bridge from the banks of the Vltava River. On our walk through the Lesser Town district, the sights will include Prague’s narrowest street, the John Lennon Wall, IV Charles Bridge, historic Charles Street, Old Town Square, the Astronomical Clock Tower, the Meridian Line, Tyn Church and the house where Franz Kafka was born. After the city tour, you will have free time, followed by a transfer to the hotel. In the evening, guests who wish may join the optional Vltava River Boat Tour arranged by our guide at an extra cost. Our private boat tour on the Vltava River, which divides Prague in two and brings life to the city through its canals, will include a buffet meal and live music. During the tour, you will enjoy a different experience while viewing Prague’s storybook cityscape at night.

After breakfast, you will have free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Karlovy Vary tour, without meals, at an extra cost. In Karlovy Vary, which was frequently visited by European high society and statesmen in the 17th and 18th centuries, we will see dozens of palaces standing side by side amid the city’s natural surroundings, the hotel where Atatürk stayed in 1918, and the houses of Dvořák, Mozart, Goethe, Beethoven, Russian Tsar Peter the Great and Pushkin. We will then visit the thermal galleries where 12 different springs emerge. After the tour, you will have free time. During this free time, you may browse shops selling traditional Czech souvenirs. After our visit, we will return to the hotel. In the evening, guests who wish may join the optional Czech Night tour at an extra cost. Held at one of Prague’s local restaurants, this special evening features Czech music, folk dances and performances. While tasting different dishes from Czech cuisine in a traditional setting, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the evening and experience the local culture firsthand. This programme is one of the tours most frequently chosen by our guests.

PRAGUE After breakfast at the hotel, full day free time for shopping and exploring. Guests who wish can join the Terezín Nazi Camp & Dresden Tour (Meals not included), organized as an optional excursion by our guide. Named after Empress Maria Theresa and located approximately 50 minutes from Prague, the town of Terezín is home to the largest Nazi concentration camp on Czech territory. Originally built as a military barracks in 1780, the facility was converted into a Nazi concentration camp in 1940. Approximately 33,000 people lost their lives in the camp, which held Jews, Rome and political dissidents. During our tour of the Terezín Nazi Camp, we visit the prisoners' barracks, communal bathhouses, infirmary, torture chambers and the camp museum. We will also see the cell where Gavrilo Princip, the Serbian nationalist who assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary, died, triggering the start of World War I. Following this tour, we visit Dresden, one of Germany's most beautiful cities, often called the "Florence of the Elbe," which greets us like an open-air museum.

PRAGUE - ISTANBUL After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Our guests who wish may join the optional Kutna Hora tour organized by our guide. Located approximately 1 hour from Prague, Kutna Hora was the most important city in the Bohemia region after Prague, due to its control of one-third of Europe's silver reserves from the 13th century to the 16th century. During our tour of Kutna Hora, a historically significant UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will visit the famous Sedlec Ossuary (Bone Church), built in the 15th century. We will see chandeliers and decorations made from human bones collected from the cemeteries surrounding the church, as well as the bone-made version of the Schwarzenberg family coat of arms depicting a Turkish commander's eye being pecked out by a raven. Additionally, during our tour, we will visit the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, built in the 14th century and one of the most impressive examples of Gothic architecture within the borders of the Czech Republic. After the optional tour, transfer to the airport at a time previously arranged by our guide according to the flight schedule. Departure to Istanbul.
