This tour offers a unique 9-day, 8-night exploration of Northern Russia. The journey begins with Pegasus Airlines from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, starting with a brief city tour in Moscow. Then, you fly with Aeroflot to Arkhangelsk, where you get the chance to discover the history of the White Sea and Pomor culture. You will visit the Malye Korely Open-Air Wooden Architecture Museum, featuring wooden structures from the 18th and 19th centuries. The highlight of the tour takes place in Naryan-Mar and its surroundings, home to the Nenets Turks. Here, you'll experience local culture up close with visits to Nelmin-Nos Village, a reindeer camp, and snowmobile tours, allowing you to immerse yourself in the wild northern nature and traditional lifestyle. In the evenings, away from light pollution, you will have the chance to witness the magic of the Northern Lights. The final stop is St Petersburg, where the city's rich history and cultural heritage are explored with a guide. You will visit the art collections of the Hermitage Museum and the city's iconic landmarks. Accommodations are provided throughout the tour in Moscow, Arkhangelsk, Naryan-Mar, and St Petersburg. 01DAY 1 | ISTANBUL (SAW) - MOSCOW
Meet at Sabiha Gökçen Airport and depart for Moscow on Pegasus Airlines flight PC 388 at 12:15. After approximately a 4-hour flight, arrive at Moscow Vnukovo Airport at 16:25. Following passport procedures, we will transfer to the city center with our waiting vehicle. After checking into the hotel and a short rest, we will head to the city center for dinner accompanied by our guide. We will enjoy our "Welcome Dinner" at a local restaurant where we will taste special dishes from Russian cuisine. Overnight stay in Moscow at our 4-star hotel (Holiday Inn Express Sokolniki / Vega Izmailovo Hotel, etc.)
02DAY 2 | MOSCOW - NORTH JOURNEY - ARKHANGELSK (WHITE SEA)
Breakfast at our hotel in the morning. Afterward, a panoramic city tour of Moscow with our guide: Red Square and the area around St. Basil's Cathedral Arbat Street (shopping and a short walk) Photo stop by the banks of the Moscow River Transfer to the airport in the afternoon. We depart from Moscow (Sheremetyevo Airport) at 15:35 on Aeroflot flight SU1340. After approximately a 2-hour flight, we arrive at Arkhangelsk Talagi Airport at 17:40. Transfer to the city center with views of snow-covered Northern Russia. On the way, a short panoramic tour and information from our guide about the Pomor people along the White Sea coast. Check-in at the hotel in the evening. Then, we enjoy dinner at a local restaurant featuring traditional Russian cuisine. Overnight stay at our hotel in Arkhangelsk (Pur-Navolok Hotel, etc.).
03DAY 3 | ARKHANGELSK - HISTORY OF THE WHITE SEA AND WOODEN SPIRIT
After breakfast, we will begin our city tour around 10:00. Today, we will explore both the modern face of Arkhangelsk and the traditional Pomor culture. City Center & Riverfront First, we will make a panoramic transition from Kuznechevsky Bridge to the banks of the White Sea River. In the city center of Arkhangelsk: The Monument to the Northern Sailors, Lenin Square and the old Town Hall, The Northern Angel Statue, which is the symbol of the city, will be visited. During a short walk, we will provide free time to explore cafes and small souvenir shops. We will get to know the city with photo breaks while feeling the tranquil atmosphere of the North. Lunch - Pomorsky Restaurant Around 13:00, we will enjoy a set menu lunch at a local Pomorsky restaurant. We will sample local flavors with seafood and examples from northern cuisine. Malye Korely Open-Air Museum Visit After lunch, we will take a short transfer (approximately 40 minutes) to the Malye Korely Open-Air Wooden Architecture Museum.
04DAY 4 | ARKHANGELSK NARYAN - MAR - ARRIVAL IN THE NORTH & LAND OF NENETS
After breakfast, we will transfer to Arhangelsk Talagi Airport. We depart from Arhangelsk at 11:30 on flight 5N-307 and arrive in Naryan-Mar (Nenets Autonomous Okrug) at 12:50. The view from the airplane window will transport you to another world - frozen rivers, endless tundras, and traces of reindeer... Upon arrival, we will be greeted by our guide. As we take our first step into the heart of the North, we head directly to the Timan Restaurant-Museum to immerse ourselves in the local culture. Every corner of this restaurant reflects the spirit of the northern peoples: wooden interior decor, hunting tools, handmade items, and halls adorned with fox and reindeer skins... During our lunch here, we will taste delicacies from the regional Pomor and Nenets cuisine. After the meal, we will embark on a city tour of Naryan-Mar: A small but warm city - the streets are quiet, and the people live with the tranquility of the North. With a panoramic vehicle tour and short walks, we will visit: Lenin Square, the banks of the Pechora River, and the Museum of Northern Peoples (Nenets Museum). In the afternoon, we will check in to Pechora Hotel (3). Time to relax and enjoy some free time.
05DAY 5 | NARYAN - MAR - KRASNAYA VILLAGE & NENETS CULTURE
After breakfast, we depart from the hotel around 09:00. Following a brief briefing, we will travel to the traditional settlement of the Nenets people, Krasnaya Village, in our private vehicles (with snowmobile transfers). The approximately 50 km journey offers a unique winter landscape along the Kuya River. We will take short photo breaks along the way, surrounded by snow-covered forests, frozen lakes, and reindeer tracks. Upon arrival, we will visit the village's small Ethnography Museum and Cultural Center. Our local guide will share the history of the Nenets people: The transition from a nomadic lifestyle to a settled one, The influences of the Soviet era, How this community preserves its culture today. We will have the opportunity to wear traditional "malitsa" (Nenets fur), And during our walk between village houses, we will see the traditional "chum" (reindeer skin tent) structure. Next, we will enjoy hot tea, and continue to the Shaman Drum Workshop. Here, we will learn about the significance of the drum in Nenets shamanism from local artisans and experience making our own shaman drum using traditional methods. Lunch will be a camp meal (local soup, fish, fresh bread).
06DAY 6 | VISIT TO REINDEER CAMP & AURORA BOREALIS OBSERVATION
After a late breakfast, we depart around 10:30. Today is a short tundra experience day: Accompanied by a guide, we will travel in a special 6x6 Troyka off-road vehicle to a reindeer camp located nearby (approximately 30-35 km). Along the way, enjoy the frozen tundra scenery, ice fields shimmering in a snowstorm, and the tranquility of the North... Upon arrival at the camp, we will be greeted by Nenets herders. Here, you can: Feed the reindeer herds and take photos, Experience a reindeer sled ride (short tour, in a safe area), Participate in a cultural introduction talk. A simple lunch will be provided at the camp tent, including hot tea, soup, and snacks. In the afternoon, we will return to the city center (around 16:30). In the evening, depending on the weather, we will embark on a short Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) tour. (The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon - visibility cannot be guaranteed) We will conduct sky observation with a guide in an area 10-15 km outside the city, where there is no light pollution. The shifting colors of the Northern Lights in the silence of the night will be the most magical moment of our tour. Overnight at Pechora Hotel 3, Naryan-Mar.
077TH DAY | NARYAN - MAR - ST. ST PETERSBURG
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Around 08:30, we depart with our luggage. Before transferring to the airport, we will take a short city tour: Visit to the Naryan-Mar Ethnography and Culture Center, Transfer to Naryan-Mar Airport around noon. At 13:40, we depart from Naryan-Mar on flight 5N, arriving in St. St Petersburg at 17:25 (via ARH). In the evening, enjoy dinner in a restaurant with a warm Russian atmosphere, featuring local cuisine. After dinner, transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in a standard 4-star city hotel (example: Hotel Dostoevsky, etc.). Overnight in St. St Petersburg.
088TH DAY | ST. ST PETERSBURG FULL DAY CITY TOUR
After breakfast at our hotel, we will meet with our guide. Today, we will explore the cultural capital of Russia to our heart's content. In St. St Petersburg, where European elegance blends with Russian history, we will be captivated by the magic of architecture, art, and history. Morning: Panoramic City Tour Nevsky Prospekt: the heart of the city and its most famous avenue Kazan Cathedral: a magnificent structure built in baroque style Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood (Kanlı Kilise): one of the city's most iconic landmarks adorned with mosaics St. Isaac's Cathedral: the most impressive viewpoint of the city with its golden dome Senate Square & Bronze Horseman: the symbol of Tsar Peter the Great The panoramic drive will conclude with short photo breaks. Lunch: Hermitage Museum & Neva River We will have lunch at a local restaurant (Russian set menu). After the meal, we will visit the Hermitage Museum, home to one of the largest art collections in the world. In the splendid halls of the Winter Palace, we will see works by Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Michelangelo, and many more. At the end of the tour, we will return to the hotel. Overnight stay in St. St Petersburg.
09DAY 9 | ST. ST PETERSBURG - ISTANBUL (SABIHA)
After breakfast at our hotel, we will proceed with check-out. We say goodbye to the city with a short free time: Transfer to the airport in the early afternoon. After luggage and passport procedures, we will depart from St. St Petersburg on Pegasus flight PC 397 at 15:35. After approximately 3 hours and 50 minutes of flight, we will arrive at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 19:25.
