On this 12-day Japan and South Korea tour with Asiana Airlines, starting from Istanbul, you will embark on a journey to explore two great cultures of the Far East. Experience Tokyo's blend of modernity and tradition, the natural beauty of Mount Fuji, and the historic atmosphere of Hiroshima. Then witness the cultural richness of Osaka, Nara, and Kyoto. At the end of the tour, visit the palaces of the Joseon Dynasty in Seoul and have the unique opportunity to observe the North Korean border at the DMZ. In Japan, you will visit iconic sites in Tokyo such as Meiji Shrine, Tokyo Tower, and Ginza. Ascend to the 5th Station of Mount Fuji and enjoy a boat tour on Lake Ashi. In Kamakura, encounter the giant bronze Buddha statue and bamboo groves, and explore Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima after a Shinkansen bullet train ride. Your journey will also include Kobe's port area and Osaka's historic castles, followed by visits to historic temples and natural wonders in Nara and Kyoto. In South Korea, explore historic landmarks in Seoul including Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village, with time allotted for shopping and leisure. On the DMZ tour, visit the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel and Dora Observatory to learn about the strategic significance of the region. 01DAY 1: ISTANBUL - SEOUL
At 14:30, we meet with representatives from Ejder Tourism at the Istanbul Airport International Terminal. After completing passport and baggage procedures, we begin our journey to Tokyo via Seoul on Asiana Airlines flight OZ 552, departing at 17:20. Overnight will be spent on the plane. 02DAY 2: SEOUL TRANSFER - TOKYO
We arrive in Seoul at 09:35 local time. After a short wait, we depart on flight OZ 106 at 15:35 and arrive at Tokyo Narita Airport at 17:55. We will transfer to our hotel by private vehicle and check in. Accommodation: Shinjuku Washington Hotel 3*+vb.
03DAY 3: TOKYO CITY TOUR
After breakfast, our Tokyo tour begins: Meiji Shrine, Tokyo Tower (panoramic), the National Diet Building, and the center of luxury, Ginza. Lunch: Traditional flavors at a local restaurant. Accommodation: Tokyo.
04DAY 4: TOKYO - MOUNT FUJI - HAKONE
We will ascend to Mount Fuji (5th Station), Japan's iconic symbol. Following that, we will enjoy a boat tour on Lake Ashi. Lunch: A regional menu at a local restaurant. Accommodation: Tokyo.
05DAY 5: TOKYO - KAMAKURA - TOKYO
We are heading to the historic city of Kamakura on the Pacific coast. Visit the Great Buddha (Daibutsu) statue and the mystical Bamboo Garden (Hokokuji). Lunch: Lunch at a local restaurant. Accommodation: Tokyo.
06DAY 6: TOKYO - HIROSHIMA (SHINKANSEN)
At 08:30, we will travel to Hiroshima by the legendary Shinkansen (Bullet Train). We will visit the Peace Memorial Park, Museum, and the Atomic Bomb Dome. Lunch: Enjoy the famous Hiroshima Okonomiyaki at a local restaurant. Accommodation: Hiroshima.
07DAY 7: HIROSHIMA - KOBE - OSAKA
We will proceed to the port city of Kobe. After visiting Meriken Park and the historic Kitano-cho district, we will arrive in Osaka. Lunch: Lunch at a local restaurant. Accommodation: Osaka.
08DAY 8: OSAKA - NARA - KYOTO
Visit the famous Nara Park, known for its deer, and the Todai-ji Temple, home to the Great Buddha. Afterward, we will see the golden Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) temple. Lunch: Lunch at a local restaurant. Accommodation: Osaka.
09DAY 9: OSAKA - SEOUL
In the morning, we will transfer to the airport. We will fly to Seoul on flight OZ 1135, departing at 11:10. Arrival is at 13:00, followed by a city tour of Seoul, including Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village. Lunch: Enjoy Korean cuisine at a local restaurant. Accommodation: Seoul.
10DAY 10: SEOUL - DMZ (NORTH KOREA BORDER)
A tour of the DMZ, the world's most fascinating border line. Visit the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel and Dora Observatory for a view of North Korea. Lunch: Lunch at a local restaurant. Accommodation: Seoul.
11DAY 11: FREE TIME IN SEOUL
A free day for shopping and personal explorations in Seoul. You can visit Gangnam, Myeongdong, or N-Seoul Tower. Accommodation: Seoul.
12DAY 12: SEOUL - ISTANBUL
