Italy Tour

We will meet at the international departures terminal of Sabiha Gökçen Airport three hours before the flight. After completing our baggage, ticketing, and boarding procedures, we will fly to Milan on a scheduled Ajet Airlines service. Upon arrival, we board our waiting private coaches and travel to central Milan. Located in northern Italy, Milan is a dynamic city and one of the centers of fashion, design, and business. Milan Cathedral (Cathedral of Milan), one of the city’s landmarks, is a notable example of Gothic architecture. The world’s fifth-largest church and one of Europe’s largest Gothic cathedrals, it has a white-marble exterior covered with intricate carvings. Among the most striking features of its façade, which contains numerous statues and carvings, is the golden Little Madonna statue at the highest point. This statue is regarded as the city’s patron saint. Next to the cathedral stands the Victor Emmanuel II Gallery, known for its glass roof and mosaic floors. The gallery contains luxury-brand stores, stylish cafés, and restaurants. It has four main entrances, the best known of which faces Cathedral Square.

After breakfast, we travel to Lake Garda. We will visit Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake, to relax and admire the scenery. You can walk around the lake, with its varying shades of emerald green and blue, or enjoy the view from the shore. After our Lake Garda visit, we travel to Venice. Upon arriving at Tronchetto Square in Venice, we take a short ferry ride to Saint Mark’s Square and begin our panoramic city tour. At the far end of Saint Mark’s Square stands Saint Mark’s Basilica, known for its golden mosaics and Byzantine-style architecture. The renowned Bridge of Sighs is where prisoners are said to have taken their final look at the city while being led to their cells. During our city tour, the sights will include the Grand Canal, the Rialto Bridge spanning it, the Doge’s Palace, the Bell Tower and Clock Tower, and the Church of Saint George the Greater. One of Venice’s defining features is its network of waterways. Renaissance palaces line the Grand Canal, the city’s main artery. After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Venice and given free time to rest.

VENICE – FLORENCE After breakfast, we depart for Florence. Upon arrival, we begin our city tour of Florence. Florence holds a unique place in the world's cultural heritage as the birthplace and development center of the Renaissance. The city has been the stage for great advancements in art, science, and philosophy. Under the patronage of the Medici family, great artists and scientists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli, and Brunelleschi worked here. Florence is essentially an open-air art gallery; among the places to see are the Arno River, which divides the city in two, the Ponte Vecchio bridge, famous for its jewelers, the Palazzo Vecchio, the Piazza della Signoria, home to the Hercules and David statues, masterpieces of the Renaissance, the Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore Duomo), which has the 3rd tallest dome in Italy, and the Baptistery, famous for its doors. In the evening, we return to the hotel and have free time to rest.

After breakfast, we will depart for Pisa, the first stop on our tour and a historic, romantic Italian city. The city’s world-famous landmark, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, draws attention with its distinctive tilt and stands in Miracles Square. The square is also home to the white-marble Cathedral and Baptistery. Each structure reflects the artistic and architectural heritage of medieval Italy. After seeing the Leaning Tower of Pisa and nearby Miracles Square, we will continue to Portofino. Located on Italy’s Mediterranean coast, Portofino appeals to visitors seeking relaxation with its natural surroundings, historic heritage and peaceful atmosphere. Despite being a small settlement, it offers a distinctive travel experience. After our boat tour, we will transfer to our hotel and have free time to rest.

After breakfast, we will begin our Tuscany (Siena, San Gimignano) tour and head to our first stop, San Gimignano. In the medieval town of San Gimignano, we will first encounter its notable towers. The town once had 72 towers, but only 14 have survived to the present day. They were built by the wealthy families of the period to display their power and wealth. Cathedral Square, the town’s social and religious centre, is home to the Cathedral of San Gimignano, built in the 12th century. Inside the cathedral, you can see frescoes reflecting the spirit of medieval Italy. The Town Hall (People’s Palace) stands immediately beside it. Our next stop will be Cistern Square, named after the old water cistern at its centre. Surrounded by stone buildings and historic structures bearing traces of the past, the square has small shops selling local products and handmade souvenirs. You can also sample one of the world’s most delicious ice creams at the famous Dondoli Ice Cream Shop on the corner of the square. After our tour, we will depart for Siena. Our first stop in Siena, where neighbourhood traditions remain strong, will be Field Square, the heart of the city.

ROME After breakfast, we head to the centre of Rome. Rome, once a magical city that glittered with timeless splendour and the winds of history, was home to the grandeur of its emperors, the courage of its gladiators, and the highest forms of art. On this tour, we will see Castel Sant'Angelo, where Cem Sultan was imprisoned. Castel Sant'Angelo was originally built as a mausoleum by Roman Emperor Hadrian and was later converted into a fortress. During the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, it was used as a kind of prison and papal fortress. Another place we will see in Rome is the Colosseum (Colosseum), located in the heart of the city, carrying the spirit of ancient times. In this colossal arena, brave gladiators and wild beasts once entered epic battles to the cheers of the crowd. After our visit to the Colosseum, as we approach the Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi), made famous by the film La Dolce Vita, the melody of water echoes among the dazzling sculptures. When you make a wish and toss a coin into the fountain, the magic of Rome is said to never let you go again. For, as they say, those who come here once are sure to return one day.

ROME – CASTEL GANDOLFO – OUTLET – NEMI – ROME After breakfast, we set off for our Outlet – Castel Gandolfo – Nemi tour. In Castel Gandolfo, shaped around an elegant castle stretching up toward the sky, where the stones of its streets seem to have stepped right out of a fairytale land, you will fall under the spell of this peaceful town at every turn, where history and nature embrace one another. The lake, resembling the bluest mirror beneath the sky, is like a doorway opening onto a fairytale world with its calm and beauty. The Papal Palace, standing at the heart of the town, is a symbol of fairytale beauty and historical grandeur. For centuries, popes have found peace and rest in this magical place. In its gardens, along paths full of colorful flowers, you will feel as if you are inside a dream. Nemi, on the other hand, is famous for its strawberry fields that shine like red jewels. The Strawberry Festival, held every year, is celebrated with colorful festivities. After visiting Nemi, free time at Italy's most famous Outlet area. These outlet centers offer attractive shopping opportunities for both locals and tourists.

ROME – ISTANBUL (SAW) After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Rome Airport at the time to be announced by your guide. Departure on a scheduled Ajet Airlines flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, our tour and services end. We hope to reunite on another tour where you will have unforgettable experiences.
