Grand Italy Tour

We meet in front of the SunExpress Airlines counter at the international departures terminal of İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport 3 hours before the flight. After completing baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we depart for Milan at 11.35 on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ892. Upon arrival at 12.40 local time, we board the vehicle waiting for us at the airport and begin a panoramic city tour. In Milan, known for its historic and modern buildings, the sights we will see include Duomo Cathedral, one of the world’s largest Gothic cathedrals; La Scala, one of the world’s longest-established opera houses; Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, an arched shopping arcade dating from the 19th century; and Castello Sforzesco (Milan Castle). After the tour, we transfer to our hotel and spend the night there.

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Venice. On the way, we take the Verona Tour, which is included in the tour price. Located on the banks of the Adige River in northern Italy, Verona is known for its cultural heritage dating back to Roman times. The city stands out for its history, architecture and literary connections, particularly Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The building known as Juliet's House and its balcony are among the sites that draw visitors. The city has examples of medieval architecture, while Arena di Verona, a Roman amphitheatre dating from the 1st century, still hosts concerts today. Narrow stone streets and the squares of Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza Bra reflect the city's history and cultural diversity. After the Verona tour, we continue to Venice. On our city tour of Venice, known for its canals and gondolas, the sights include San Marco Cathedral and Square, the Doge's Palace, Canale Grande, the Bridge of Sighs and Rialto Bridge. After the tour, guests who wish can join the optional Gondola Tour on the Canals of Venice at an extra charge. (40 Euro) On this tour, we explore the city's canals in traditional gondolas, one of the symbols of Venice.

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Rome, the country's largest city and capital. On arrival, we begin our city tour. Once the heart of one of the greatest civilizations of the past, Rome has been a center of power, culture and religion throughout its approximately 2500 years of history. The city's historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its palaces, thousand-year-old churches and basilicas, ruins, monuments, statues and fountains make up its historical heritage. Rome also has a cosmopolitan character. Places we will see on the tour include the Vatican (San Pietro Cathedral), the administrative center of the Catholic Church, the Collosseum, where gladiatorial contests were held, and the Roman Forum, located in the center of ancient Rome, where religious, political and social activities once took place. We will also see the Victory Monument (Vittoriano Emanuele), Fontana di Trevi, known in our country as the Fountain of Love, and the Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna). After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. We spend the night at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish can join the optional Castel Gondolfo & Nemi & Outlet & Vatican Tour at an extra cost. (85 Euro) The first stop on the tour will be Castel Gondolfo, home to the Papal Summer Palace, known as the summer residence of the popes. The historic palace and its surroundings are known for their views and gardens. From here, we will travel to Nemi Village. Set around Lake Nemi, which formed in a volcanic crater, the village is also known as the strawberry village because of the strawberries grown in the area. Its historic ruins, narrow stone streets and lake views attract tourists and nature lovers. During free time in the village, you can explore and shop. We will then head to Italy's most famous outlet district. Here, you will have free time to shop at affordable prices. Afterwards, we will travel to San Pietro Square in the Vatican, regarded as the centre of Christianity. On arrival, you will have free time to visit the basilica and the square. As you walk around the square, you can see the central obelisk and the surrounding columns. At the end of the tour, we will transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Naples & Pompeii tour at an extra cost (110 Euro). Naples is a port city in southern Italy, on the Mediterranean coast and at the foot of Mount Vesuvius. The city is known for its historical and cultural heritage, markets, traditional pizza and ancient ruins. After visiting Naples, we continue to Pompeii. We explore the archaeological site of this ancient Roman city, which was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 BC and uncovered thousands of years later. Here, we learn about ancient Roman times as we view the well-preserved remains of homes and daily life. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Florence. On arrival in the birthplace of the Renaissance, we begin our panoramic city tour. During the tour, we see the Duomo Church (Santa Maria Del Fiore), the Baptistery, the Old Palace, Ponte Vecchio and Piazza Signoria. Afterwards, guests who wish can join the optional Tuscan Towns (Pisa & Siena & San Gimignano) Tour at an extra charge. (110 Euro) The first stop on this tour is the Leaning Tower of Pisa, known for its tilt and as one of the country's symbols. After taking photos here, we continue to Siena, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. With its narrow medieval streets, stone buildings, historic Piazza del Campo and cathedral, Siena reflects traditional Italian city life. Our final stop is San Gimignano. Located in Tuscany, the town is known for its medieval stone towers and is called the Manhattan of the Middle Ages. Its 14 tall towers reflect the city-states' rivalry over wealth and prestige in the 14th century. Its narrow, interconnected streets and historic buildings reflect the town's past.

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Milan. Upon arrival in Milan, guests who wish can join the optional Lakes (Como & Lugano) and Outlet Center Tour. (75 Euro) Our first stop is Como. Named after Lake Como, the city attracts visitors from around the world with its natural surroundings. Como is known for its architecture reflecting Gothic and Renaissance styles, as well as the homes of well-known figures such as Madonna and George Clooney. After visiting Como, we continue to our second stop, Lugano. Located in southern Switzerland at the foot of the Alps, Lake Lugano brings together the cultural and natural characteristics of Switzerland and Italy. After our visit to the city, known for its views and shopping streets, we stop for shopping at an outlet featuring world-famous brands. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel. After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer to the airport at the time specified by the guide. After completing baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we depart for Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport at 13.40 on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ893. Our tour ends upon arrival at 18.25 local time.
