Barcelona and Architectural Wonders Tour

We meet in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at the International Departures Terminal of Istanbul Airport 3 hours before the flight. After completing baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we depart for Barcelona at 09:00 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1853. We arrive at 10:45 local time, board the vehicle waiting for us at the airport and begin our panoramic city tour. Barcelona, Spain’s second-largest city and the capital of the Catalonia region, is known worldwide. Located on the Mediterranean coast, the city is known for its history, art, culture and entertainment. Its architecture, streets, cuisine and nightlife attract millions of visitors every year. Antoni Gaudí’s works also play an important role in the city’s architecture. During the city tour, we will see La Sagrada Familia Church, the Cristof Colomb Statue, Montjuic Hill, La Ramblas Street, İspanya and Catalunya Squares, Endülüs Arena and Olimpic Port. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel and have free time. We spend the night at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish can join the optional Pearls of Northern Catalonia (Girona & Figueras & Dali Museum) tour at an extra charge. (70 Euro) The first stop on the tour will be Girona. Located in northeastern Catalonia, approximately 100 kilometres north of Barcelona, Girona is known for its narrow medieval streets, historic buildings, museums, churches and city walls. Sights on the city tour include the Lion statue, Cathedral Square and the Jewish Quarter (El Call). After visiting Girona, we head to Figueras. Located northeast of Girona, Figueres is the birthplace of Salvador Dali. The city's identity is closely linked to the life and work of the Spanish painter Salvador Dali. The main attraction in Figueres is the Salvador Dali Museum. Dali founded this museum to leave something for his birthplace and display his work. Today, the museum houses the largest Dali collection and is considered his largest work, as he designed it in its entirety. The museum contains more than 4000 works created by Dali using various techniques. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. In the evening, guests who wish can join the optional Flamenco Fire tour at an extra charge.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Gaudi’s Work: Park Guell & Gothic Quarter tour at an extra cost (60 Euro). The first stop will be Park Guell, one of Antoni Gaudi’s works and a Unesco World Heritage Site. Also known as a fairy-tale park, it is known for its colourful stairways and imaginatively shaped pavilions. After visiting the park, we will continue to the Gothic Quarter. Here, we will see narrow, maze-like streets dating from the Middle Ages, Gothic churches, squares and Roman walls. The district’s main landmarks and places to visit include Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King’s Square) and La Rambla. After the tour, guests who wish may join the optional Sitges Tour at an extra cost (40 Euro). Located southwest of Barcelona on the Mediterranean coast, Sitges is a seaside town known for its turquoise sea and beaches, as well as its arts and cultural events. The town has art galleries, museums and festivals. We will begin our visit at the steps of San Bartolome-Santa Tecla Cathedral, then continue through the historic streets.

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport at the time set by the guide. After baggage, ticket and passport procedures are completed, depart for Istanbul Airport at 12:10 on Türk Hava Yolları flight TK1854. The tour ends upon arrival at 17:45 local time.
