Barcelona and Architectural Wonders Tour

We meet in front of the Türk Hava Yolları counter at the International Departures Terminal of Istanbul Airport 3 hours before departure. After completing baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we depart for Barcelona at 11:45 on Türk Hava Yolları flight TK1467. Upon arrival at 13:30 local time, we begin a panoramic city tour in the vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Barcelona, Spain’s second-largest city and the capital of the Catalonia region, is known worldwide. Located on the Mediterranean coast, the city brings together history, art, culture and entertainment. Barcelona attracts millions of visitors every year with its architecture, streets, cuisine and nightlife, and is also home to works by Antoni Gaudí. Sights on our city tour include La Sagrada Familia Church, the Cristof Colomb Statue, Montjuic Hill, La Ramblas Avenue, İspanya and Catalunya Squares, Endülüs Arena and Olimpic Port. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Free time follows. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Pearls of Northern Catalonia (Girona & Figueras & Dali Museum) tour at an extra charge. (70 Euro) The first stop is Girona. Located in northeastern Catalonia, approximately 100 kilometres north of Barcelona, Girona is known for its narrow medieval streets, historic buildings, museums, churches and city walls. The city tour includes sights such as the Lion Statue, Cathedral Square and the Jewish Quarter (El Call). After visiting Girona, we depart for Figueras. Located northeast of Girona, Figueres is the birthplace of Salvador Dali. The life and works of the Spanish painter Salvador Dali play an important role in the city's identity. The main tourist attraction in Figueres is the Salvador Dali Museum. Dali founded this museum to leave something to his birthplace and display his works. Today, the museum houses the largest Dali collection and is regarded as the artist's largest work, as he designed it in its entirety. The museum contains more than 4000 works that Dali created using various techniques. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Gaudi’s Work: Park Guell & Gothic Quarter tour at an extra cost. (60 Euro) The first stop will be Park Guell, one of Antoni Gaudi’s works and a Unesco World Heritage Site. Also known as a fairy-tale park, it is known for its colourful stairways and imaginative pavilion designs. After visiting the park, we will continue to the Gothic Quarter. Here you can see narrow, maze-like streets dating from the Middle Ages, Gothic churches, squares and Roman walls. The quarter’s main buildings and areas include Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King’s Square) and La Rambla. After the tour, guests who wish may join the optional Sitges Tour at an extra cost. (40 Euro) Located southwest of Barcelona on the Mediterranean coast, Sitges is a seaside town known for its turquoise waters, beaches and lively atmosphere. Also known for its arts and cultural events, the town has many art galleries, museums and festivals. We will begin our visit at the steps of San Bartolome-Santa Tecla Cathedral and continue through the historic streets.

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport at the time set by the guide. After baggage, ticket and passport procedures are completed, depart for Istanbul Airport at 14:35 on Türk Hava Yolları flight TK1468. The tour ends upon arrival at 20:10 local time.
