Barcelona and Architectural Wonders Tour

We meet at the Türk Hava Yolları counter in the International Departures Terminal at Istanbul Airport 3 hours before departure. After completing baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we depart for Barcelona at 09:10 on Türk Hava Yolları flight TK1853. We arrive at 10:55 local time and begin our panoramic city tour in the vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Barcelona, Spain's second-largest city and the capital of the Catalonia region, lies on the Mediterranean coast. Known for its history, art, culture and entertainment, the city welcomes millions of visitors each year with its architecture, streets, cuisine and nightlife. Antoni Gaudí's works also play an important role in the city's architecture. Sights on our city tour include La Sagrada Familia Church, the Cristof Colomb Statue, Montjuic Hill, La Ramblas Avenue, İspanya and Catalunya Squares, Endülüs Arena and Olimpic Port. After the tour, we transfer to the hotel for free time. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Pearls of Northern Catalonia (Girona & Figueras & Dali Museum) tour at an extra charge. (70 Euro) The first stop is Girona. Located in northeastern Catalonia, approximately 100 kilometres north of Barcelona, Girona is known for its narrow medieval streets, historic buildings, museums, churches and city walls. Sights on the city tour include the Lion statue, Cathedral Square and the Jewish Quarter (El Call). After visiting Girona, we depart for Figueras. Located northeast of Girona, Figueres is the birthplace of Salvador Dali. The city's identity is closely connected to the life and works of the Spanish painter Salvador Dali. The main attraction in Figueres is the Salvador Dali Museum. Dali founded this museum to leave something to his birthplace and display his works. Today, the museum houses the largest Dali collection and is known as Dali's largest work, as the artist designed every section. The museum contains more than 4000 works created by Dali using various techniques. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Gaudi’s Work: Park Guell & Gothic Quarter tour at an extra charge (60 Euro). The first stop will be Park Guell, one of Antoni Gaudi’s works and a Unesco World Heritage Site. Also known as a fairy-tale park, it is known for its colourful stairways and imaginative pavilion designs. After visiting the park, we will continue to the Gothic Quarter. Here we will see narrow, winding streets dating from the Middle Ages, Gothic churches, squares and Roman walls. Notable buildings and spaces in the quarter include Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King’s Square) and La Rambla. After the tour, guests who wish may join the optional Sitges Tour at an extra charge (40 Euro). Located southwest of Barcelona on the Mediterranean coast, Sitges is a seaside town known for its turquoise waters and beaches, as well as its arts and cultural events. The town has art galleries, museums and festivals. We will begin our visit at the steps of San Bartolome-Santa Tecla Cathedral and continue through the historic streets.

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport at the time specified by the guide. After baggage, ticket and passport procedures are completed, depart for Istanbul Airport at 14:35 on Türk Hava Yolları flight TK1468. The tour ends upon arrival at 20:10 local time.
