They Simply Don’t Want You Back! The disappointment begins the moment you see the 4-star claim on booking sites — and even on the hotel’s own entrance sign. At $450 a night, expectations naturally run high. Check-in was decent, until you walk down the hallway leading to a prehistoric elevator. You hope the rooms might be renovated — only to discover they’re just as dated as the lift that brought you up. Housekeeping? That’s not daily. You’ll have to book your cleaning slot through a QR code, which in practice means “maybe they’ll have time.” My first request was simply ignored. Breakfast offered a fair variety but zero change — the same buffet every day for seven straight mornings. Overall, this hotel clearly isn’t interested in building loyal, returning guests. The focus seems to be purely on maximizing revenue, not guest satisfaction. Had I paid $150–$200 per night, this review would have sounded very different. But at $450, it’s nothing short of a rip-off.

So this hotel is not as bad as I expected per the reviews online, but I think the biggest issue is the misleading statement that it’s a 4-star hotel. The amenities are at best of a 3-star hotel. Otherwise the breakfast was quite alright, the room was pretty clean, the staff were friendly, the location is indeed great. The walls are in fact very thin though and I could hear a person from a room next door snoring at night. Overall it was not a bad stay, decent value for the money.
