Rocco Forte Hotel de Rome

We stayed at Hotel de Rome for one night through American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The bellman greeted us as soon as we arrived, helped with our luggage, and made us feel right at home. Before our stay, we called to let the hotel know our 4-year-old son would be joining us. They didn’t hesitate to upgrade our room and even added an extra bed so we’d all be comfortable. It was a thoughtful gesture that we really appreciated. The room itself was beautiful and very comfortable. One feature that really stood out was the heated bathroom floor—it sounds like a small thing, but it made such a difference and was a luxury we didn’t know we’d enjoy so much. One of the highlights of our stay was the rooftop bar. The views over Berlin were absolutely incredible, especially as the sun started to set. We ended up staying much longer than we planned because it was such a relaxing atmosphere. They have a wood-fired oven where they make pizzas fresh to order, and my son absolutely loved his pizza. I paired mine with a Boston cocktail, which was excellent. Between the food, drinks, and the view, it was easily one of our favorite memories from the trip. The spa and fitness center were also exceptional. The gym had some of the nicest equipment I’ve seen in a hotel, and the spa was the perfect place to unwind. Between the sauna, steam room, and peaceful atmosphere, it was hard to convince ourselves to leave. Breakfast the next morning was outstanding. The buffet had a huge variety of fresh options, and the à la carte menu had so many great choices that it was difficult to decide what to order. Everything we tried was excellent, and it was the perfect way to wrap up our stay. Even though we were only there for one night, Hotel de Rome made a lasting impression. The service, comfort, spa, and breakfast all exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Berlin, and this is one hotel we’ll genuinely miss.

My stay at Hotel de Rome was outstanding. The hotel itself is superb, with a fantastic location in the heart of Berlin, beautiful accommodations, and excellent service throughout. What made the experience especially memorable, though, was Emily. She was an absolute joy to interact with from the moment I arrived. She was warm, welcoming, and had a wonderful smile that immediately made the check in experience feel personal rather than routine. She even took the time to escort me to my room, show me around, and make sure I knew where everything was and had what I needed. That kind of genuine hospitality makes a real difference. At a luxury hotel, you expect a beautiful property and excellent amenities, but it is the people who ultimately determine whether a stay feels special. Emily did exactly that. Hotel de Rome easily deserves five stars based on its location, quality, and service alone, but Emily is the reason this particular stay will stand out to me. I would absolutely return, and quite frankly, I would come back solely because of the way she treated me.

We stayed here to celebrate a friend’s bachelorette party and were so happy with the whole experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us set up our little spa surprise, making sure we had everything we needed. We also requested a connecting room for our group of five girls, and they happily arranged it for us. Everything was spotless, organized, and perfect for our stay.
