Highly recommended overall and certainly would return. Best : location, staff, breakfast, housekeeping room size. Just ok : room decoration - sparse and not your typical European warm design but practical. But the room was very spacious spotless quiet and comfortable. Redecoration and adding furniture would be an easy fix. Beyond expectations: front desk staff - Zoe - handled a potential bookkeeping problem with incredible grace, turning it into a positive respectful exchange with a good outcome. I have owned hotels and managed multiple businesses - this was truly extraordinary. Brava! And thank you.

Very disappointing. Do not recommend. The room gets super hot in the summer, there is no A/C, the fans don’t help much because it’s so warm. In addition super noisy in the evening as there are 5-6 bars blasting music and big crowds outside each establishment. The hotel’s response is that they are unable to control the external noise - in that case it should not be advertised as sound proof. No parking.

We visited Luxembourg with our children and took 3 rooms for 2 and 3 nights. The hotel is, other than in one material respect, (see below) excellently situated in the centre of the City and close to the old town, as well as tourist attractions. The rooms are all rather “quirky”, albeit spacious.My wife and I were in room 12 which consists of two rooms; a bedroom and a sitting room, sparsely furnished. Reception was polite. For two of our three night stay, we were unable le to sleep for long periods. The reason being that the hotel is located close to a number of bars which open until late. Loud, heavily beating music literally blasted out until 3 in the morning. Following which bar patrons took much time to leave and were very noisy. The weather was hot and it was impossible to open windows due to noise. Even with windows closed, the noise was deafening. We complained the following morning. We received little sympathy or explanation from the staff. We were provided with ear plugs; these made little difference. The staff indicated that they have complained to the local authority without success. We sympathise with their predicament; if the noise is similar every weekend it makes it impossible, in our view, to stay at this hotel peacefully. One other less significant comment. We left iPads in the room to charge during the day. With no lights or other electrical working in the room. We felt that it was rather “petty” of the cleaning team to take the room card out of the slot to disconnect the electricity, so that our equipment remained uncharged by the time of our return. The saving on electricity must be minimal. It is a shame that this otherwise acceptable hotel suffers from loud noise. We could not recommend any weekend stay there.
