The hotel is centrally located, but ist is surprisingly quiet, apart from the clock tower every hour. The hotel features a bar, a mini-mart, and a self-service counter from a major coffee chain based in Seattle. Breakfast offered excellent variety, with plenty of options for guests with food intolerances. I would have liked more toiletries in the room, but otherwise, there was nothing to complain about.

Fantastic location in the city, breakfast was amazing, and the AC worked fairly well (one room was stronger than the other but neither rooms were hot at the height of summer with them running). We opted for 2 2-twin bed hotel rooms and that worked quite well for our family because the teenagers don’t share Queens well. The twin beds were Twin XL’s, so the adults were able to fully stretch out and not have feet hanging over the edge. The parking garage is terrifying to go down the slope, but perfectly fine to maneuver in if the car is small enough. Just go slow and be careful.

The hotel is in a fabulous location and the rooms are tidy and comfortable. I would very much like to have given a higher rating than 3 out of 5, but the place just feels a bit “mean”. There’s no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms, which is very unusual particularly given there’s no complimentary tea and coffee facilities in the reception lounge - you have to pay for it. My other pet hate is the shower over the bath. Also, the inside bar didn’t open until 10pm - sure, there was an outside bar available but the weather was cool when we were stayed, so really wanted an inside bar. Nevertheless, as I said, it was clean smart and simple and the location is great.
