Hyatt Regency Cape Town

The place is lovely. The staff are well above average. Very friendly and supportive in every way. Not all of them, but most. The breakfast is good, but it can be better. The lobby is almost OK. Not bad. The rooms are humble—barely 4 stars. The location is superb, especially for history lovers. It's also very close to all the tourist attractions and business centers. Not very safe to walk alone, especially at night.

My recent stay at the Hyatt Regency Cape Town was truly memorable. From the moment I arrived, the level of service, professionalism, and genuine hospitality displayed by the entire team was outstanding. The staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. In particular, Saleha was extremely helpful and attentive which made our stay even more pleasant. Every request was handled promptly, efficiently, and always with a warm smile. It was evident that guest satisfaction is a top priority, and the team's attention to detail truly made a difference. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with spacious and comfortable rooms, and a welcoming atmosphere. The location is ideal for both business and leisure travellers, providing convenient access to many of Cape Town's attractions. What impressed me most was the exceptional customer service. The team anticipated guests' needs, offered helpful recommendations, and made every effort to create a memorable experience. It is rare to find a hotel where the staff consistently exceed expectations at every touchpoint including the delicious menu at breakfast and warm South African hospitality. I would highly recommend Hyatt Regency Cape Town to anyone visiting the city and look forward to returning in the future. I stayed here for 5 nights with my toddler and wife. Service here is brilliant, I cannot fault it. Rooms would need an update and the TVs could be smart. Nonetheless there is a decent gym and lovely views of cape town. I'd like to thank Nadine, Razeen, Alfreda, Okuhle and Zolani for their great service. I can't remember all the names but my name was remembered and the attention to details was unmatched. I was helped every morning with staff who remembered our order. For the price point you cannot go wrong as you're right by bo kaap and the morning call to prayer is a pleasant way to start your day. I'd highly recommend the hotel for the value you get for the price. Thanks again!
