Cape Point lies in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, at the south-western tip of the African continent. It is a place where, according to the tradition, the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet.
A funicular carries you up to the viewpoints, and the old lighthouse, built in 1860, is one of the oldest in South Africa. Photographs from the viewpoints are the lasting reward.
