Hotel Splendide Royal

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel for our honeymoon. The hotel is grand and in a perfect location. Not in the city center, but walking distance away. We particularly were very impressed with the staff. They helped us with our questions in the months leading up to our stay and during our stay. We particularly wanted to call out Ricardo at reception and both Sofias at the spa for elevating our experience. Also, the breakfast was incredible. The hand made pastries were out of this world. I have never been more impressed with a hotel breakfast.

My boyfriend and I spent 6 nights in this stunning hotel. Our stay was perfect from start to finish. My only regret is not booking to stay longer!! The staff went above and beyond… so friendly and helpful. It is clear that the team strive for high quality, the hotel is a true representation of Swiss hospitality. I truly appreciate the staff taking the time to leave a token of recognition in my room for my birthday. I can see from other reviews that guests have complained about being put in the ‘annex’ building. I can assure you that it does not make any difference and it is connected directly to the main hotel so it doesn’t have any effect on your stay and you wouldn’t even know you are in a different building! Our room was of a high standard and extremely clean. A turndown service was also offered each evening. The air conditioning in the room was the best I have ever felt in a hotel and was essential during the heatwave. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruits, pastries, cheeses, yoghurts etc as well as a menu to order from. The French toast was the best I have ever had. I definitely recommend sitting outside and taking in the views of the lake at breakfast time. Unfortunately I did not get any names but the staff at breakfast time were extremely attentive. The spa was perfect during the heatwave. There was a stunning terrace with views of the lake. There were also beds inside and outside which allowed for ultimate relaxation. Again the staff at the spa were super friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and maintained to a high standard. I was particularly impressed that we were allowed to use the spa the rest of our final day even though we had checked out at 11am, this was a nice touch and greatly appreciated. Thank you to the team at the hotel for making our stay truly wonderful, we cannot wait to return. I can honestly say that this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in!

Had a wonderful 3 night stay. From the moment we drove up we felt welcome. All the staff, from the valet, front desk, waiters/waitresses to the pool attendants were exceptional. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms in the historical building, which is to be recommended. Great breakfast and easy walking distance to shopping and dining. Will be back!
