Hotel Saratz

Our stay at Hotel Saratz in Pontresina was truly memorable. We visited twice for a one-week stay with half board (breakfast and dinner), and both experiences were exceptional. We loved everything—the atmosphere, rooms, food, spa, staff, and activities. It’s a beautiful hotel that makes you feel relaxed, welcomed, and well taken care of from the moment you arrive. What stood out most was the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. On our second visit, they even remembered us, which made everything feel very personal. The restaurant manager was especially kind and welcoming, and as we were relocating to the U.S., they even gifted us a beautiful spa bag, which was such a thoughtful gesture. We truly appreciated every moment and will definitely come back. A perfect place for a relaxing mountain escape.

Location was great ! Close to the train station and bus station. We had a family room, used with my senior parents and with my husband. All of us slept comfortable and the room setup was good enough for four adults, worked really well especially needing to communicate with my senior parents often, but we could close the door and have them completely separate, including having the separate entrance and two sinks are great. Our rooms are located in the old building, so slightly old and funny setup, but it was charming and super clean with great view. Service was topnotch. The private pick up/drop off from train station was better than 5 star hotel ! Breakfast was also one of the best I've ever experienced in the hotel - including whole honey comb (all you can eat !) and make-it-yourself freshly squeezed vegetable juice were exceptional, but everything was fresh, high quality food provided with care. Downside: spa area, especially the hammam area was confusing. I like the over 16 idea -but it would be great if we can still wear the swimsuits since it's shared. also if they provide the salt scrub instead of the mitten and shower gel, even better !

We stayed at Saratz for a few nights in February 2026 and it was very nice experience. From our room we had a magical view over the Alps (it was full moon so the mountains were clearly visible even at night - stunning view!). The room was spacious though design is a bit dated. Nonetheless, overall we found the room comfortable. The food was very good overall. From hearty breakfast (which helped survive the cold winter days!) to the lunch menu to the hotel restaurants, especially Pitschna Scena).
