Hilton Lake Como

Hilton Lake Como exceeded all our expectations and was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel is beautiful, modern, and impeccably maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the rooftop pool and bar offer breathtaking views of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains. What truly sets this hotel apart is the outstanding service. Every member of the staff was warm, professional, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay special. The location provided easy access to Como and the lake ferries while offering a peaceful atmosphere. Without a doubt, we would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lake Como.

We had a wonderful stay at Hilton Lake Como. Patrizia made check-in seamless and welcoming, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The rooms were spacious, spotless, modern, and even better than the photos. The rooftop restaurant offers amazing views, the pool is relaxing, and the breakfast buffet was the best we had on our trip—our whole family loved it. We also appreciated the location: slightly removed from the busy town center, it felt like a peaceful retreat while still being an easy and safe 20-minute walk into town. The train station was just a short taxi ride away. From check-in to breakfast to help with bags and taxis, there was always a helpful hand. A perfect hotel for families visiting Lake Como.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP. My wife has a brain tumor and can barely fly, so this trip was an extremely rare and special occasion for us. Unfortunately, it became a nightmare. She accidentally booked an accessible room and immediately admitted the mistake at reception, asking if we could switch to a normal room. We were told the only option was a €150 “upgrade,” despite Expedia showing cheaper available rooms. The receptionist simply repeated “dynamic pricing” and showed no interest in helping. We then discovered the accessible room had a known dripping AC issue that staff were already aware of. We were moved, only to end up in another room with a loud clicking noise every 5-10 seconds (I have video recording of this to hear the noise..). Staff confirmed the noise themselves and moved us again… to yet another room with the exact same issue. When I called reception again, they became argumentative and unhelpful. We were told absurd explanations like “the LED lights make the noise.” Expedia was equally disappointing, siding with the hotel despite us offering video proof that they refused to watch. At that point we even asked for a downgrade, refund, even a twin room just so my wife could sleep. Nothing was resolved. The lack of sleep and stress made my wife so ill that she could barely move after returning home. If rest matters to you at all, avoid this hotel.
