ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima

We chose this hotel for the location which is perfect. It is an easy 5 minute walk to the Peace Park plus the main shopping and eating area. Our booking included access to the Club Lounge which was very much appreciated. We had afternoon tea and breakfast here every day. It was quiet and the service was A+. A special mention must go to Mr Fukuda, the Assistant Manager who made us feel welcome every time we visited. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Hiroshima.

🛏️ Stayed in a Premium City View King Room. 🎶 Road noise was fairly minimal for our stay (there were building works for a building next-door while we were there) 📍Location is perfect - a tram stop just around the corner (short walk) so easily assessable from the train station. Walking distance from most major sights like peace museum and atomic bomb dome. Food located fairly close - otherwise only a few blocks to the iconic Okonomiyaki ROKU. (Plenty of Lawsons, 7/11 near by) The room was large for Japan but overall is very dated (stuck in the nineties) even with the power points on the bedside tables. However its perfect if you want location and just somewhere to sleep the night (i wouldn’t rate their bed or pillows very highly for comfort) Mostly filled with a lot of corporate guests when we stayed. Overall the hotel is perfectly located for a stay in Hiroshima if you’re into all the history with easy access to public transport if you’re into want to explore further. The hotel was nice, but the staff and their service were outstanding. The check-in went smoothly and it was very nice that we got upgraded to a much bigger room because of my platinum status with IHG. We tried the Club Lounge and it was such a nice place to get afternoon tea and breakfast. I would encourage anyone to try the Club Lounge because the service and food were top notch. It costs a bit more, but it includes afternoon tea, evening cocktails, and breakfast. For breakfast you get to choose from three different restaurants. We really liked the Club Lounge breakfast with custom made omelettes but also enjoyed the 5th floor Unkai Restaurant that gave us an outstanding luxurious Japanese breakfast. I'm sorry that I never got the name of the gentleman who worked the Club Lounge, but he was outstanding and always greeted us warmly as well as the rest of the staff. It was a memorable experience with a very nice room and the Club Lounge. We look forward to the next time we can go back to the Crowne Plaza in Hiroshima and experience it all over again.
