About this experience
Narikala Fortress is a stone rampart above Tbilisi's old town. A cable car crosses the Kura River and rises toward the fortress, and below you stretch the red roofs of Old Tbilisi, churches and the bend of the river. At the top the city appears as a wide panorama.
Around the fortress there can be cobbled paths and steps, so wear comfortable shoes. The wind feels cooler up high. Light near sunset is good for photographs.
