Jose Cuervo La Rojeña Distillery agave and tequila production tour
Guadalajara · Mexico
About this experience
Around Guadalajara in Jalisco, a route follows blue agave fields to an old distillery where tequila is made. How the agave is harvested, cooked and laid in barrels is explained on the spot. Historic buildings and the smell of barrels present the product's story as a whole.
The tasting is alcoholic, so take small sips and drink water. You will stand and walk around the site, so choose closed shoes. Bring a sun hat and water. In the field, avoid touching the sharp leaves of the blue agave.
