Skiff boat wildlife safari to spot sloths along the Yarapa River
Iquitos · Peru
About this experience
On the narrow channels of the Yarapa River, small boats glide close to the water. Sloths move slowly along the branches and colourful birds flit through the treetops. There is no rush: watching the forest and quietly looking for animals is the whole point.
The small boats keep the ride calm and the effort low, so families with children and older guests can come along. Binoculars, a hat and sun cream are useful. Sightings depend on luck. Early mornings tend to be busier.
