Night boat safari to spot caimans in the Juma Amazon
Manaus · Brazil
About this experience
After dark the Amazon shows a different face. In a small boat, you sweep a torch along the bank to pick out the reflecting eyes of caimans and other animals active at night. Insect calls, calm water and darkness make nature feel both close and mysterious.
Wear light long sleeves and use insect repellent. Staying quiet by the water avoids disturbing wildlife. Dim your phone screen to keep your night vision.
